Hey Physios, from my heart to yours
Love is like a skeletal system. It has structure. It has alignment. It has posture. etc
Love is not just flowers and soft words. Love is the quiet work of support. The kind you don’t notice until it hurts to live without it.
Love is the spine of life.
As a Physiotherapist, working on spines like you work with stories: patiently, carefully, one small correction at a time.
You’ve seen love limping into your clinic, wearing a brave smile and a guarded shoulder. You’ve seen love show up as “It’s just stress,” while the neck is screaming, while the lower back is bargaining for mercy, while the body whispers what the mouth won’t say: “I’ve been carrying too much.”
You know the truth:
A posture check that says, “I’ve got your back.”
A stretch break that says, “I want you to last.”
A home program that says, “I care enough to follow through.”
A corrected gait that says, “Let’s walk into better days.”
Because the most beautiful love stories are not always loud.
So if you’re reading this in scrubs,
or between patients, or after a long day of people trusting you with their pain and rehab.
You are part of someone’s healing.
You are the reason they can carry their child again.
You are the reason they can kneel, stand, dance, pray, work and feel like themselves.
And if nobody has said it yet,
let me say it clearly
Happy Valentine, Physiotherapists.
May your hands be guided with wisdom, may your hearts stay soft,
may your backs stay supported,
and may love; the spine of life, keep you strong, aligned, and full of purpose.
Remember,
Love is not only what we feel.
Love is what we restore.
Happy Valentine 💝
