According to a Dutch study published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, seniors who reported feeling lonely were 64% more likely to develop dementia over a three-year period compared to those who didn’t feel lonely. Loneliness isn’t just emotional, it can have serious effects on brain health.
