Happy children's day to the Benue child.

From all of us here,
We are wishing the Benue children a happy children's day.

Thank you for understanding with mum and Dad even when salaries were not paid,

You were at the receiving end during the Fulani massacre,
You hawk daily on the harsh streets and scorching makurdi sun!

You ought to be celebrated!
Though you have limited access to quality healthcare and education,

We all hope for a better day when all of these shall become history,

We all hope for a new Benue for the Benue child with abundant opportunities to quality healthcare and education!

We pride in you oh Benue child!

Signed:
Onu Paul Agada.

Dear Buhari,

With your continued silence and kid gloves attitude towards the grand plan to annihilate the Benue people, you have shown you have the Fulani blood running inside of you.

You were quick to brand IPOB as a terrorist organization and had it gazetted,

You were also fast in tagging Avengers economic terrorists.

You didn't stop there, you formed an Army unit to tackle cattle rustling in the Northwestern region of the country,

Till the present and renewed daring attack,
You have not condemned nor branded your kinsmen Terrorists. That act clearly shows how your administration places great emphasis on cattles other than human life.

Under your watch, defenceless women and children have been killed in their hundreds,

Property worth several billions of naira have also been lost .

You have shown your gross incompetence to the world, leading Nigeria is not only by fighting corruption, but stamping out your blood hungry kinsmen that have always left behind trails of bloodbath, sorrow and anguish.

Baba, please resign or act fast before we loose our patience.

AyaTutu arise in defence of our communities!

OurMuMu Don do!

THE RENEWED PLAN TO ANNIHILATE AND OCCUPY BENUE

fellow compatriots, as we journeyed barely three days into the New Year,
We in the Benue region had known no peace.

our tranquility had been cut short by rampaging Fulani militia who are hell bent on annihilating the Benue people and occupy her land.

Their attack is as usual brutal, as helpless people including women and children are mutilated.

The Federal government continued silence or rather kid gloves approach to this genocide is a clear indication that this people are sponsored by those in high places.

The Federal government should bury her head in shame because she is not welcomed henceforth in Benue.

They can't give us security, they should not expect our votes in return.

Our hearts goes out to those who lost their loved ones in this daring attack.

Benue is our Jerusalem, we must protect her from Fulani advancements.

BENUE ANTI-GRAZING LAW: MATTERS ARISING

We want to begin by commending the Benue state government for passing this bill into law, because from all indications that is the only viable means through which perrenial conflicts between herders and farmers that have left behind trails of destruction and anguish could be tackled in this present day.

In the aftermath of the passage of this long awaited bill, we have received with great dismay pockets of rants from those opposed to the complete restoration of peace to the southern Benue valley and other parts of the state. Their unguarded comments poses a great security threat as it will not only over heat the polity, but create an atmosphere of fear and tension among the people.

We shall not in a hurry forget to acknowledge the efforts of security agencies and the livestock guard for preventing any breakdown of law and order in areas considered to be flashpoints.

In our recent tour across Guma, Tarka, Logo, Vandeikya, Katsina-Ala and Ukum local government areas, we discovered no open grazing, as no herdsmen were in sight.
To our greatest bewilderment, we found some herdsmen grazing openly in Makurdi the state capital, disrupting traffic by crossing the ever busy Lafia road with their cattle. This scenario only did not amount to an embarrassment, but it also brings the competence of the livestock guard to a test.

We hereby call on the Benue state governor, His excellency Samuel . I Ortom, to wade into this as a matter of urgent concern.

TWO YEARS UNDER ORTOMATIC LEADERSHIP: OUR BENUE STORY

Its two years since Gov. Samuel Ortom took over at the helm of affairs of Benue state.

The Governor met a state in total shamble, virtually all spheres of the state was in dire need of intervention, Civil servants owed several months salaries, the state owned university and other tertiary institutions all on strike, Fulani herdsmen constantly breaching peace and wrecking havoc beyond human comprehension in the southern Benue valley and other parts of the state, Infrastructure lying in total decayance and corruption in high places sailed una batted.

When Ortom took over, of course the hopes of the Benue people was high, their aspirations, expectations surging up to the high heavens.

It is based on the records of the activities, actions and inactions of the Gov. Ortom Led administration that characterize our Benue story.
After two years of APC stewardship, here is our story to the world.

First, the strike embarked upon then by the state university was not sincerely taken care of, resolutions of the committee was not hearkened unto. This has led to the current strike action the university is currently observing.

The Benue civil servants are yet another endangered species in this administration. They are owed over 7 months of salaries, and all the government does is to declare a state of emergency in that regard! more so, no worker has received any penny after the said state of emergency was declared.

It is however interesting to note here that a handful of Benue workers have died due to their inability to cough out little funds required for their medical treatment, a lot more have suddenly become hypertensive because their truck load of problems seems unending. Their children are sent home for nonpayment of school fee, they feed barely twice or less a day, they can't pay up their house rent and all these has made them less a Man and a father!
Remember this biblical quote? ''Any Man that cannot take care of his own household is worse more than an infidel".
This month teachers get paid leaving out the local government workers, next month Local government workers equally receive theirs leaving their counterparts behind.

No bill or policy that will better enhance the welfare of the Benue citizen has been enacted, only the anti-grazing bill which is long overdue is the only meaningful thing achieved so far.

Township roads within Makurdi metropolis still lies in a complete mess, constant arrest, detention and molestation of the opposition is on its unending spree.

Insecurity posed by herders across the state is still unchecked, this has led to the death of over two thousand innocent Benue indigenes and property worth several billions lost to this quagmire.
Renewed militancy in the Tiv area is also another factor that make up our Benue story.

The debt profile of the state in last two years is quite worrisome, the internally generated revenues gotten from the exorbitant taxes and levies would have been used in place of bank loans.

Recently the feud between the Governor and Sen. David Mark is yet another factor that constituency our Benue story. Though there is no argument responding to somebody, but there is every problem when you refuse to let go and forge on the future,
The feud only succeed in further deepening the wounds of marginalisation, ethnocentrism and strife amongst indigenes of the state from the political divide.

On this ground, he implore the Governor of Genus state, Samuel Ortom to please reflect on the grey matters highlighted here so as to bring lasting solutions to our bunch of problems and above peace to our dearest Benue!
Happy Democracy Benue!

HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY TO THE NIGERIAN CHILD!

You are the worst hit of all of the country's problem!

When your parents are owed several months of salaries, you drop out of school!

When recession bites harder, you feed less on two meals per day and sometimes nothing!

When Fulani herdsmen attacked your villages, you became homeless, displaced and tagged''' IDPs!

When Fulani herdsmen still killed your parents, you became orphaned!
When Government refused to pay your teachers, they stayed at home in protest and your education was brought to an abrupt end!
In recent times, you have been hunted by paedophiles who are hell bent on shattering your future!

Your Legislators both at the national and state levels have all refused to enact stiffer laws that will protect you from rampaging rapists and paedophiles!

Their children attend the best schools in town, while you attend the government owned LGEA primary school which lies in a sorry state, and is usually characterised by dilapidated structures, inadequate learning materials, backlog of unpaid teachers salaries which leads to teachers morale dropping down to its lowest ebb!

The government still has not reeled out plans or policies that will enhance your education and healthcare delivery systems!

You are often at the center of domestic violence including child trafficking, child labour, hawking and other inhumane forms of child abuse.

Kudos Nigerian children on this Special Day!
I celebrate you all!
