To the women who feel like a piece of them died after “recovering” from COVID, YOU are seen.
To the women who struggle with

➡️grief due to loss from COVID
➡️extreme fatigue
YOU ARE SEEN!!! I sit here in tears as I gather my thoughts and I read your stories and feel your pain.
I am a hairstylist of 18 years...I lost 3 to COVID and nearly lost my AMAZING, strong and courageous mom. She now has permanent lung damage, is on oxygen and was forced to retire from her corporate job at age 59. She spent a year and a half rehabilitating because she could not put an empty glass away in a cupboard, nor put her shirt on over her head because she was in so much pain 24-7, in addition to many other issues.
She suffered in silence 😔…having gotten it in May 2020 when there were so many unanswered questions and no where to turn for support.
She did not lose her hair but a piece of her died. She will never be the same. She could not walk to the front of a grocery store entrance without being winded and last year she walked seven miles at Disneyland with her family. She did that!!! One thing I have learned from her during all of this is never to give up on yourself, advocate like a mother, and to remain grateful for the life you are living ❤️
As a hairstylist I have friends going through and gone through what you are all experiencing with hair loss and I am SO SORRY!
Remember…You are still that same person from within so don’t lose sight of that. I have had a focus on hair loss for the last 8 years. So my focus to know, learn and help with COVID hairloss is at a deeper level because of my mom, and women like you.
I know your days are hard minute by minute. STAY
