Malaria vaccine is now part of routine vaccination program for children in some African countries.
Here is everything you need to know about the vaccine which your doctor won’t tell you.
1. The new Malaria vaccine about to be rolled out is made from same mRNA technology as the COVID jab.
It is produced by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and PATH, a global health group based in Seattle, USA 🇺🇸
2. Twelve countries across different regions in Africa are set to receive 18 million doses of the vaccine.
3. The vaccine is administered in four shots. First shot, then three additional boosters.
The first three doses will be given to children within their first months of life. The final dose around their second birthday.
4. Your child being vaccinated doesn't guarantee he or she won't get malaria.
The child can still get the infection.
5. In the 3rd phase of clinical trial, it was observed there was an increase mortality among vaccinated girls than vaccinated boys.
This observation, still has not been accounted for.
