Got a pesky eyelid twitch? You're not alone! Myokymia, or eyelid muscle twitching, is usually harmless and resolves on its own. Common causes include fatigue, stress, and too much caffeine. Try getting more rest, reducing stress, and cutting back on caffeine. If needed, lubricating eye drops can help. Visit Premium Nation's Eye Hospital for expert advice and care!

WHAT IS KERATOCONUS?

Keratoconus is a progressive eye condition where the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape.
It is common, yet it often goes unnoticed because its symptoms can seem mild or general at first.

Why Should You Be Concerned?
If left untreated, keratoconus can lead to severe vision impairment. In advanced stages, it may require a corneal transplant—a costly and invasive procedure that is not easily accessible for many.

Early detection is crucial to avoid these complications.

Common Signs You May Have Keratoconus:
• Persistent allergies or itchy eyes
• Frequent changes in glasses or contact lenses
• Blurred or distorted vision
• Increased sensitivity to light and glare
• Difficulty seeing at night

Who's At Risk?
• Teenagers and young adults (10-25 years old)
• People with a family history of keratoconus
• Individuals who rub their eyes excessively

What Can You Do?
The good news is that keratoconus is treatable if diagnosed early!
