Dokkisho I am a medical doctor, with specialist training in obstetrics and Gynaecology.

A fellow of the West African college of Surgeons, with sub-specialization training in Assisted reproductive techniques ( popularly known as IVF). I ventured into non-medical entrepreneurship, working mostly with women many years ago and did an executive MBA at the Lagos Business school (LBS), located in Lagos, Nigeria. I relocated to Canada about 5 years ago and did my next academic exploit in pro

fessional coaching and counselling in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I have earned my life skills coaching certificate, registered with the International coaching federation as a member and look forward to receiving my professional counsellor certificate in the next year or so. I am presently offering coaching services virtually, partnering with clients to develop/ enhance life/coping skills, achieve life goals, develop physical( including fertility and gynaecological ),mental, social, emotional and psychological health & wellbeing.

Understanding the Freeze Response

When we think of the body’s natural reaction to stress or danger, we often talk about fight or flight. But there’s a third response that’s equally important and often overlooked: freeze.

The freeze response happens when your body feels so overwhelmed that it can't run or fight back. Instead, it shuts down physically, emotionally, or both. You may feel numb, detached, or like you're stuck in place.

For many, it feels like time slows down or even stops. You might feel disconnected from your body, like you’re watching yourself from the outside but can’t move, speak, or respond.

This is your body’s way of trying to protect you. It is not weakness. It is survival.
