*CONSTITUTION OF LOCAL ORGANIZING COMMITTEE (LOC) FOR THE 2026 NATIONAL CONVENTION – UNIMED*

Dear NARSites,

In preparation for the 2026 NARS National Convention, and in line with the association’s commitment to effective coordination and successful event planning, the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Association of Radiography Students (NARS) has approved the constitution of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) Convention (Ekimogun'26)

After due consultation and consideration, the following members have been appointed to serve:

The National Executive Council of the Nigerian Association of Radiography Students (NARS–National) proudly announces the forthcoming Mental Health Awareness Summit, themed “Anxiety and Stress Management,” scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, by 10:00 AM (WAT) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

This landmark event is part of NARS–National’s commitment to promoting the overall well-being of radiography students and advancing the conversation on mental health within medical and allied health institutions. The summit aims to provide a safe and engaging platform for dialogue, awareness, and solutions surrounding stress, anxiety, and the psychological challenges faced by students in demanding academic and clinical environments.

The event will also feature a World Press Conference, bringing together student leaders, radiography professionals, mental health advocates, and members of the press to discuss strategies for strengthening support systems and creating healthier learning environments.

In preparation for this impactful program, NARS–National is earnestly soliciting sponsorships, partnerships, and collaborations from well-meaning individuals, organizations, and agencies who share our vision of empowering the next generation of radiography professionals. Contributions in the form of financial support, materials, technical assistance, or media partnerships will go a long way in ensuring the success of this national initiative.

We also invite media houses, journalists, and press organizations to honor us with their presence and coverage of this event, as their involvement will help amplify our message of mental health awareness and strengthen advocacy efforts nationwide.

This summit reaffirms NARS–National’s unwavering commitment to fostering a balanced, resilient, and mentally healthy radiography community across Nigeria.

The National Executive Council of the Nigerian Association of Radiography Students (NARS–National) is pleased to inform all NARSites and stakeholders of the recent official visit of the National President to notable radiography figures and institutions in Lagos State.
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships, promote collaboration, and advance the welfare of radiography students across Nigeria, the NARS–National President embarked on a series of strategic courtesy visits to engage with key leaders within the profession.

The visit included the following notable stops:

1. Head of Department of Radiography, University of Lagos (UNILAG).
2. Rad Adolphus - Former Arn National Executive
3. Dr Sule Joshua - Assistant Director of Radiography
4. Chief Rsj Babatunde- First Substantial registrar of the Rrbn
Throughout the visit, meaningful discussions were held regarding the general hospitality, welfare, and growth of radiography students nationwide, as well as collaborative pathways between academia, practice, and student Welfare

This visit underscores NARS–National’s commitment to fostering unity, professional development, and a stronger radiography community in Nigeria.
