Today is my mum's birthday. I have written a lot about her on this platform. All the write-ups, of course, aren't enough because words will never be sufficient to convey how amazing she is—how amazingly God created her to be.
When I understood the meaning of her title "Ngalonu," as explained by my brother, I wondered how much of the bride price my dad paid in respect to Igbo culture to bring her home. Definitely, the queen here is more than expensive.
Izu will wake up one morning with a dull-looking face, but once his eyes meet Mum's, they will start smiling. It will get to the point where they start laughing for no reason. Mum's smile alone always cheer up every minute of my day.
Happy Birthday, Ngalonu. The universe manifests that whatever you pray for will be answered. May each moment bring you immeasurable joy. Here's to wishing you many more years of life + success. Loving your awesomeness.
