👉 YES, it is very possible!
Many women believe breastfeeding is a natural contraceptive…
but the truth is more nuanced 👇

🤱 WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

✅ 1. OVULATION CAN HAPPEN BEFORE YOUR FIRST PERIOD
After delivery, your body can release an egg before your period returns
👉 So you may ovulate without even knowing

🌸 WHY YOUR BABY MAY BE QUIET TODAY

First, don’t panic… but don’t ignore it either.
A change in your baby’s movement can mean different things 👇

✅ 1. Baby Is Sleeping 😴
Yes, babies in the womb sleep too!

👉 They can sleep for 20–40 minutes (sometimes up to 90 minutes)

👉 During this time, movements may reduce or pause
💡 But after rest… movements should return

✅ 2. You’re Too Busy to Notice 🏃‍♀️
If you’ve been moving around all day…

👉 Walking and activity can “rock” baby to sleep

👉 You may not notice the movements

💡 Most mamas feel baby more when they finally lie down

✅ 3. Placenta Position Matters 🧠
If you have an anterior placenta (placenta in front):

👉 It can cushion baby’s kicks

👉 Movements may feel softer or less frequent

✅ 4. Baby Is Running Out of Space 🤰
As your due date gets closer:

👉 Baby has less room to move freely

🌸 HOW TO PUSH CORRECTLY DURING LABOUR

When it’s time to push, your body is already doing most of the work… your job is to work WITH it, not against it 💪

✅ 1. Wait for the RIGHT TIME
Don’t rush to push because you feel pain.
Push only when your cervix is fully dilated (10cm) and your healthcare provider says it’s time.

👉 Pushing too early can cause swelling and delay delivery.

✅ 2. Follow Your Contractions ⏱️
Contractions are your body’s natural guide.

👉 Take a deep breath when a contraction starts
👉 Hold it…
👉 Push as the contraction peaks
💡 Think of it like “riding the wave” 🌊

✅ 3. Push Like You’re Passing Stool 💩

Yes mama, this is the secret many don’t tell you!
👉 Push downwards (to your bottom)
👉 NOT to your face, throat, or chest
If your face is turning red and your neck hurts… you’re pushing the wrong way ❌

👶 MYTH VS FACT: NEWBORN JAUNDICE

❌ MYTH:
“Yellow eyes in a baby means malaria”
✅ FACT:
In newborns, yellow skin or eyes is most often jaundice, caused by a build-up of bilirubin — not malaria.

🧠 WHY THE CONFUSION?
Yes, malaria in older children and adults can cause yellow eyes.

But in newborns, the body works differently!

Their liver is still developing, so bilirubin can build up easily.

👶 COMMON CAUSES OF JAUNDICE IN BABIES:
✔️ Immature liver
✔️ Blood group mismatch
✔️ Infection
✔️ Poor feeding
✔️ Prematurity

⚠️ WHY THIS MATTERS:
Mistaking jaundice for malaria can be dangerous!

It is very common, especially in the first few days of life — but not all jaundice is harmless

🧠 WHY DOES IT HAPPEN?
During pregnancy, the mother’s body helps remove bilirubin.

After birth, the baby’s liver is still developing and may not clear it fast enough.

📅 WHEN DOES IT START?
Usually appears 2–3 days after birth
Peaks around day 4–5
Often clears within 1–2 weeks

👀 SIGNS TO WATCH OUT FOR:
🔹Yellowing of the face, then chest, then legs
🔹Yellow eyes (very important sign)
🔹Baby is too sleepy or weak
🔹Poor feeding
🔹High-pitched crying

⚠️ If it spreads to the legs or baby becomes dull → URGENT attention needed

🚨 WHEN IS IT DANGEROUS?
🔹Jaundice becomes serious when bilirubin levels get too high.
🔹This can affect the brain (a condition called kernicterus) 😢

🏥 WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
✔️ Start early and frequent breastfeeding

✔️ Expose baby to early morning sunlight (before 9am, safely)

✔️ Always check baby’s eyes and skin daily

✔️ Visit a hospital if you notice yellowing

💡 HOSPITAL TREATMENT:
Phototherapy (special blue light treatment)

In severe cases, blood exchange transfusion

❌ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID:
Ignoring jaundice thinking it’s normal
Using herbal remedies ❌
Delaying hospital visit ❌

Let this sink in…

A Cesarean section (CS) is NOT a taboo.

It is NOT a curse.

It is NOT a sign that your body failed you.

It is a life-saving medical decision 🏥

There are moments in pregnancy and labour where the safest path is not “pushing harder”…
but choosing help.

And that help… might come through surgery.

💭 If signing that consent form is what stands between:

👉 You and life

👉 Your baby and safety

Please sign it. Choose LIFE.

Because at the end of the day…

A TRULY SAFE DELIVERY is not about how the baby came out 👶

It is about this:

✨ Mother ALIVE

✨ Baby ALIVE

✨ Both HEALTHY

Don’t let society pressure you into silence or fear.

Your strength is not measured by vaginal delivery.

Your strength is in:

✔️ Making informed decisions

✔️ Putting ego aside

✔️ Protecting your life and your baby’s life

That is what real strength looks like
