Vacancy: Assistant Maintenance Engineer( Administrative)

Qualifications: • A University Degree or its equivalent in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Other relevant certificate will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of eight (8) years post-graduation experience preferably in a manufacturing/production company.
• Computer literate
Job Requirements • Strong equipment/machinery maintenance skill.
• Knowledge of Process manufacturing/ Utility equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit.
• Multi skilled in basic electrical practices
• Basic knowledge of HVAC/ RAC system
• Basic knowledge of PLC, AC drive and troubleshooting
• Excellent technical background.
• Ability to lead, train and own a team of young graduates
• Sound ethics and integrity.
• Tact and diplomatic.
• Multi-tasking and deadline oriented.
• Ability to communicate and work in a team
• Good documentation practice.
• Helps to reduce observations raised on inadequate documentation practices.
• Perform planned and predictive maintenance, undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
• Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies when carrying out your functions.
• Carry out administrative and clerical functions, which include database management, report generation, data entry, and records management.
• Organize technical and administrative support of activities including installation, repair, preventive maintenance, construction and cable maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and find methods (preventive) to correct them to the organization.
• Maintain repository for tracking licenses and agreements; included descriptions, equipment details/location, and associated documentation.
• Revise current inventory and coordinate with purchasing regarding new orders.
• Communicate with departments regarding work orders and maintenance requests.
• Process and distribute new work orders; Ensure completion.
• Answer calls regarding general general maintenance; Reply to emails from different departments.
• Preform weekly and monthly safety checks; Update spreadsheets.
• Establish and maintain successful work relationships within the environment, while providing top notch service
• Conduct routine inspection on all machines and equipment to ascertain their state and working condition.
• Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors to ensure adherence to agreed Service Level Agreement.
• Ensure timely and adequate repair and maintenance of all Chris Ejik equipment.
• Ensure inputs for shut down planning activities are timely and proactively provided within areas of responsibility
• Ensure maintenance activities are proactively coordinated including contractor & vendor management within areas of responsibilities.
• Tracking changes to existing documents.
• Tracking Store record keeping.
• Maintaining a master log of all documents and records.
• Ensuring all new protocols and revisions have been properly reviewed and approved.
• Controlling distribution of new and/or revised documents and maintaining a record of distribution.
• Collaborate actively with the maintenance manager towards the formulation and implementation of maintenance/engineering department related Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in the analysis and documentation of short- and long-term infrastructure/machineries requirement or needs.
• Develop maintenance schedule for all machines and ensure strict adherence to the schedule.
• Proactively initiate and maintain good relationships with all maintenance vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Manage emergency situations that might arise from mechanical/system/communication failure
• Archiving /Scanning/Printing - Renaming, recording and filing incoming hard or electronic copies of drawings (Internal and External)
• Recording, checking and tracking all corrective/ preventive documents.
• Processing and recording incoming and outgoing vendor data and engineering.
• Maintaining document logs for correspondence, material approval, used, supply and issue out.
• Provide day-to-day onsite maintenance support for all Group’s mechanical and electrical installations and fittings.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Board of Directors or Executive Director.
