In Numbers 14:4;
And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.”
Have you ever wondered what they will say to Pharaoh when they get back to Egypt?
His Excellency,
Pharaoh the Great,
A LETTER TO OUR EVER CARING AND WONDERFUL PHARAOH
Oh king live forever,
We, your servants , useless, worthless servants, without brains and reasoning have come before you. We are sorry for allowing ourselves to be deceived by that man called Moses who said he saw God. We never knew he was an ambitious man. He deceived us with his tricks and magic here in Egypt. Even when we crossed the red sea, it was the same magic staff he was carrying. We were told that some of your chariots perished; we have come to apologize to you OUR KING.
O king, he killed our children and fathers too. He took us to the desert where there was no food and water. When we complained, he called us stiff-necked people and sent snakes to destroy us. Then he left us to a mountain, he returned with anger and ordered us to kill ourselves. WE PUT SWORDS TO OUR BROTHERS’ AND SONS’ HEARTS. The laws he gave us was more than we could bear. Sincerely, no matter how much it seems we have suffered in your hand, we really enjoy under your hand. We remember the cucumber, the garlic and onions we used to enjoy. There is no exchange for it. IN FACT, WE WANT TO CONFESS THAT EGYPT WAS ACTUALLY HEAVEN ON EARTH. IF A WOMAN HAS NOT TRIED 2 HUSBANDS, SHE WILL NOT KNOW THE ONE THAT LOVES HER MOST. We have come back and will from now till we die be yours including our children yet unborn.
Even if we make 40,000 bricks for you per day no problem. We were even wondering if there were no enough grave to bury us in Egypt that he took us to those horrible places. We curse the day he was born, the day he killed your first son and took us away. Here we are lying prostrate before you. Accept us as we are.
You see what unbelief can and will do to a man. UNBELIEF WILL TAKE AWAY FROM YOU YOUR CONQUERED LANDS, ATTITUDE AND CHARACTER, THEN IT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO BO***GE, SLAVERY AND STRUGGLE. They had gone to spy the Promised Land; they saw the giants, their power, and descendant of Anak and so on. They saw themselves as grasshoppers in their eyes BUT THEY REFUSED TO SEE ONE THING, THEY DID NOT SEE GOD. UNBELIEF COMES WHEN A MAN REFUSES TO SEE GOD IN ANY SITUATION. So they decided to appoint a captain that will lead them back to Egypt.
Those are the presumed word of the captain when he arrives before pharaoh.
Imagine you could analyze situations and circumstances. You have all the facts and reason why it will not work, why you will not make it BUT YOU NEVER SAW GOD, HOW YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH GOD. FROM TODAY FRIENDS, LEARN TO SEE GOD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. But there were 2 people that did not see what the others saw, they saw God. They spoke out; “their protection is gone from them, but the Lord is with us. Let us go and we will overcome them”. BUT HOW DID THEY KNOW THAT THEIR PROTECTION WAS GONE FROM THEM? THEY SAW GOD AND GOD SHOWED THEM WHAT WILL BE. ANYTIME YOU REFUSE TO SEE GOD, HE WILL NOT REVEAL HIS WAYS AND PLANS TO YOU. THAT WAS WHAT DID NOT ALLOW THEM TO GROW OLD, NOT TO FALL SICK OR DIE EVEN WHEN THEIR MATES WERE DYING. WHILE THEIR MATES DIED, SOMETHING INSIDE OF THEM WAS SAYING; I AM NOT DYING HERE, MY INHERITANCE IS AT THE OTHER SIDE.
FRIEND WILL YOU SEE GOD AND BELIEVE HIS WORD TODAY. DO NOT SEE THE PROBLEM AGAIN, BUT SEE THE SOLUTION, VICTORIOUS AND CONQUEROUS GOD.
