Congratulations Nigerian Nurses & MidwivesπŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰πŸ•Ί

NMCN Verification portal is now Re-openedπŸš€πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€πŸ“

In November 2023, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) introduced more stringent rules in the verification process for Nigerian nurses and midwives, which led to the prolonged closure of the verification portal for over six months. This significant delay sparked nationwide protests, intense negotiations, lobbying, and legal proceedings as the nursing community fought to address these challenges and restore fairness to the system.

Today, we are proud to announce that through the tireless efforts of advocates and stakeholders, the NMCN verification portal is finally re-opened. This victory represents not only a step forward for Nigerian nurses and midwives, but also the power of collective action and dialogue in upholding the rights and dignity of our healthcare professionals. Let’s continue to build on this momentum and work toward a more transparent, efficient, and equitable future for all nurses.

*STILL IN THE MOOD OF THE 15-DAY ULTIMATUM BY NANNM*

Dear Comrades,
Solidarity greetings from *NANNM-FHI NAC*

It is no more news that the National NANNM gave a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Health on 2nd of September, 2024

You were also informed on the 6th of September 2024 that the Ministry of Health, upon receiving the 15-day ultimatum, called for a meeting but the date fixed was not feasible for both parties.

You are also aware that NANNM and Nigerian nurses are doing their best by disseminating the 15-day ultimatum on different social media platforms through flyers in other to continue the sensitization of members.

We want to strongly believe at this moment that all the FHI units have officially informed the management of their various institutions of the 15-day ultimatum given by our national body and also have called Congress to address our esteemed members.
If any unit has not done that, please, you are to do that as a matter of urgency.

It is imperative for us to note that as federal government institutions, we will surely be the first to benefit from the demands if they eventually come to reality and we must be prepared to give full support to this course that NANNM is embarking

However, we want to assure you that the National body of our great profession will genuinely follow the necessary Labour Laws in pursuing our demands.
*We shall give you progress report after the rescheduled meeting with the leadership of NANNM and the Hon. Minister.*

_Finally, this is a period we all need to be united and fight together for our common interest_
*Let the Sensitization Continue*

*Solidarity Forever*
*ALUTA CONTINUA*
*VICTORIA ACERTA*
