Regions Healthcare proudly joined stakeholders and critical care experts at the Intensive and Critical Care Society of Nigeria (ICCSN) Annual Conference, reaffirming our commitment to the advancement of intensive and critical care in Nigeria.

Our Executive Medical Director, Prof. Benjamin Anyanwu, delivered a compelling presentation titled “The Cost of ICU Treatment in Nigeria: A Private Sector Perspective.”

In a powerful and revealing session, he broke down the operational, infrastructural, and economic challenges faced by private ICUs - from high-maintenance equipment, lack of electricity, and 24/7 diagnostics to staffing and consumables.

It was an insightful and engaging session that sparked important conversations around accessibility, sustainability, and innovation in critical care.

At Regions Healthcare, we believe that every life matters and that collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous investment in healthcare are the key to delivering quality care.

Final Day-

What an incredible way to wrap up an unforgettable conference.

Today, we heard from brilliant minds across different specialties from a respiratory therapist to a neurologist, psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietitian, and more. Each session added something unique to our understanding of how to care for patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

It’s been three days of learning, connection, inspiration, and collaboration and we’re walking away better equipped, more united, and fired up to keep making a difference in our patients’ lives.

A huge thank you to all our speakers, participants, facilitators, and crew, you made this experience truly special and totally worth it.
