Protein is an essential nutrient, and both animal-based and plant-based sources have their benefits.

*Animal-Based Protein Sources:*

- Lean meats like chicken, turkey, and fish
- Eggs
- Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt
- Red meat (in moderation)
- Shellfish like shrimp, scallops, and mussels

These sources are complete proteins, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids the body needs. They're also rich in vitamins B12 and D, iron, and omega-3 fatty acid.

*Plant-Based Protein Sources:*

- Legumes like beans, lentils, and chickpeas
- Nuts and seeds like almonds, chia seeds, and h**p seeds
- Whole grains like quinoa, brown rice, and whole wheat
- Tofu and tempeh
- Vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and kale
