Orunmila did not like this or want this for his children, and so he tricked Iku into making a pact, promising that he would pass over the children of Orunmila and leave them unharmed so that they would be able to fulfill their destinies without the threat of premature death.
Iku asked how he would know who was a child of Orunmila and who was not? And at that time it was determined that Ide Ifa worn on the left wrist would be the identifier of Orunmila’s children....that if death saw this he should turn the other way and leave the person alone until it was their rightful time to be taken from this earth.
Thank you Orunmila for giving us the promise of longevity on earth and allowing us to live out our destinies in full without fear of death. Asé 💚🤎
