*Heat season is here*
Sudden dead of birds especially broilers is common during heat season due to heat stroke. You can manage your birds this period by:
✓proper management of litters material- you will need to change your litters earlier than before. You must put off ammonia buid up always
✓supply fresh water at noon - don't just say they have water, you might need to serve cold fresh water at noon. You can put ice block in their water if you have access to it
✓server good multivitamin like Mia vit. Streekstrock from @⁨Jameskaagrick⁩ is very essential this period
Using garlic probiotics extract will be of great help this season
✓ Avoid long withdrawal period of water prior to vaccination this season
✓avoid over stocking this season
✓employ early feeding of birds this season. Mash feeds might be better this season than pellets. If you are on self feeds formulation, avoid high energy content in feed especially layers
✓2-3 couches housing is a good way of providing appropriate ventilation for your birds. Avoid sun rays into your pen. This should have been controled through proper positioning of your pen.
✓handle your lasota vaccination and others very well.
✓plant trees around your pen, if you are on permanent land.
✓this is not a period to targeting 4kg and above before you sell your broilers.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

Any rainfall from now will cool the weather for some time, reduce incidences of respiratory diseases, but will come up with surface water contamination of Wells and even Bore holes.

The heavy garbage disposal by the public will be washed away to contaminate shallow wells, with heavy pollution of Salmonella, E coli, pasteurella, shigella, etc.

Note: few days after the first rainfall of the year, many birds, if not properly managed, may come down with Typhoid, E coli, Fowl Cholera, or collibacilosis, etc, all manifesting as gastrointestinal infections and some respiratory problems.

We advise that just 1-3 days post first rain of the year or any rain fall preceded by a long dry spell, farmers should quickly embark on prophylactic antimicrobial treatment of thier flock, to avoid serious outbreak of fowl typhoid or any or more of the diseases listed above.

Birds watered from bore holes are no exceptions from the above epidemiological risk as many bore holes are equally contaminated with E Coli at these periods.

USES OF S***M APPLE. ENGLISH NAME IS GIANT MILK WEED,IN YORUBA IS EWE BOMUBOMU(for other names please check google)

1. It's s***m apple leaf,it serves as a coagulant.It is use to make cheese ,it coagulates the milk making it to come together instead of alum

2. Soak it inside water, then grind the leaf to extract the milk and use it to wash the 2 breasts. Be prepared for free flow of milk.

3. Yes is good to treat chicken pox or measles
Just grand the leaf add it to original black soap
Mix it very well
And use it to bath
It will dry off the chicken box.

4. It is not poionous, It is used for stomarch aches. Soak it in dry gin. It has worked for me.

5. It is being soaked with either schnapp or palm-wine with milk for typhoid.

It should be used in small quantity. The extract of the pure juice of giant milk w**d is known to be toxic. It should NOT be allowed to touch the EYES because it can harm eyes.
The juice of the stem is capable of causing abortion and
should be avoided by pregnant women. The dried twig is
equally harmful to pregnancy.
