WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU EXPERIENCE SHORTNESS OF BREATHE

1) STAY CALM, sit upright; loosen tight clothes.
call for help if you notice Severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, blue lips/fingers, confusion, fainting, or sudden onset.
2) Open windows, use inhaler (if applicable), take slow breaths.
3) Remove triggers (smoke, allergens)
4) Hydrate if you can ( try drinking water)
5) Use pursed-lip breathing: inhale 2-3s, exhale 4-6s.
6) DO NOT IGNORE
Follow up with a doctor; identify and avoid triggers.

Most times, the pressure itself comes from the patients themselves, they force you to administer treatment and when you refuse, (knowing fully well it's above your scope or the preferred resources aren't available)

They question your competence
They compare you with others 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday at St Paul's Anglican church, Widows conference, was just another opportunity of educating the widows.
