Breaking News: NDLEA arrests notorious drug kingpin after 13 years in hiding.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended Reginald Peter Chidiebere, a notorious drug kingpin, following a large seizure of co***ne and he**in linked to him at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos.

Chidiebere was first arrested in 2013 for his involvement in a co***ne shipment into Nigeria but jumped bail and evaded capture for over a decade. He resurfaced in February 2024 as a key player in a he**in shipment of 49.70 kilograms intercepted by NDLEA operatives.

The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, revealed that Chidiebere surrendered on February 13, 2026, due to mounting pressure from law enforcement. He is now in custody facing old and new charges related to he**in consignments.

In related news, NDLEA operatives dismantled a secret methamphetamine laboratory in Imo state, recovering 18.4 kilograms of the drug and production equipment. The agency also intercepted a Togolese woman with 5,000 tramadol pills and seized significant quantities of skunk across various states.

NDLEA Chairman, Mohamed Buba Marwa, commended the agency's efforts, saying, "We remain resolute in bringing all offenders to justice".

Chukwudozie Nwangwu Jailed 11 Months for Money Ritual Practices

An Anambra State High Court sitting in Awka has sentenced popular Anambra-based native doctor, Chukwudozie Nwangwu, widely known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki, to eleven months imprisonment over charges related to money ritual practices.

The trial judge, Justice Jude Obiorah, handed down the sentence after the defendant pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him by the Anambra State Government.

Nwangwu, who operates in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, was prosecuted alongside other controversial native doctors, including Eke Hit and Onyeze Jisos, over alleged involvement in ritual practices linked to the acquisition of wealth.

According to court proceedings, the convict admitted to engaging in money ritual activities and preparing protective charms for individuals involved in criminal acts. He was further accused of producing talismans allegedly used by kidnappers and armed robbers.

In addition to the eleven-month jail term, the court ordered the demolition of his “Oba Shrine” and directed him to cease all forms of Okeite practices and the administration of related charms.

The court also ruled that upon completion of his sentence at the Awka Correctional Centre, Nwangwu must publicly denounce Okeite and similar ritual practices.

Furthermore, he was mandated to serve as an ambassador for youth re-orientation, as part of broader efforts aimed at discouraging young people from engaging in ritual-related activities.

The conviction followed his guilty plea to all three charges preferred against him, effectively bringing the high-profile case to a close.

Have You Ever Wondered Why UNN Doesn’t Offer Chemical Engineering? During the CIVIL W@R........

It’s a question many people have asked in passing, sometimes with curiosity, sometimes with confūsion: Why doesn’t the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) offer Chemical Engineering?

The answer isn’t just a matter of curriculum or policy—it’s a story buried in the ashes of a w@r that changed everything.

Before the Nigerian Civil W@r, UNN had a Chemical Engineering department—vibrant, brilliant, and filled with some of the most gifted minds in the country. But after the w@r, that department was perm@nently shūt DOWN. Not because the university lacked resources or interest—but because of what that department represented during the Biafran strūggle.

During the w@r, a group of fe@rless sci£ntists and engineers, led by the remarkable Professor Gordian Ezekwe, formed what was known as the Biafran Research and Production Unit (RAP). Alongside him were brilliant minds like Sylvester Akalonu, Benjamin Nwosu, W***y Achukwu, Okezie Confidence, and others whose names history is yet to fully honour.

This team became Biafra’s silent heroes—not with gūns, but with br@ins. In the face of block@des and sc@rcity, they built b0mbs, rockets, radio systems, and even modular oil refineries. Yes, refineries. The kind that Nigeria, to this day, struggles to build. They refin£d aviation fuel right there in the East, under si£ge, with nothing but scr@ps and sci£nce.

These weren’t just engineers—they were mir@cle workers. And it sc@red the Nîgèrîáñ gov£rnment.

Federal trøøps inv@ded the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) library, tore and b"urnt all the books chanting "Na these books dem dey read, na why them know too much "Meaning (They posses lots of knowledge reading this particular books) In 1967, UNN was renamed to University of Biafra

So next time you walk through UNN’s campus, or look through its list of courses and notice what’s missing, remember—it’s not just about a course. It’s about a silenced Histøry. A reminder of what was lóst… and what could still rise again.

IS THIS RIGHT OR WRONG?

A church recently raised ₦960,000 for a member who was very sick. His hospital bill was ₦210,000 an amount he and his family could not afford.

During a service, the pastor announced; “Our brother is hospitalized and needs ₦210,000. Let us support him.”
Members began donating generously and by the end of the service, the total reached ₦960,000.

Afterwards, the pastor counted the money, gave ₦210,000 to the sick man’s brother to pay the hospital, and deposited the remaining ₦750,000 into the church account.

The problem started when the family became upset. They argued that all the money should have gone to their brother, not just the hospital bill, because people donated out of compassion to help him with recovery, medicines and daily needs.

The pastor, however, said he only requested ₦210,000 and once that target was met, any extra money belonged to the church.

The way this situation is now..
What is your take on this

Who do you think is right in this situation? 🤔

Remember the money is in the church's account and not thr pastors personal account.

Three United States aircraft carrying troops and weapons have reportedly arrived in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

According to the New York Times, the first plane arrived in the capital city on Thursday night, noting officials from both countries said the first batch of roughly 100 US troops will arrive in Nigeria over the weekend.

By Friday evening, three planes were reported to have landed in Maiduguri, with equipment being offloaded from one of them.

These first arrivals mark the start of C-17 cargo planes heading to three different sites across Nigeria, a US Defence Department official told the newspaper, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of operational details.

More aircraft transporting personnel and equipment are scheduled to arrive this weekend, with additional flights planned over the coming weeks, the official added.

The spokesperson for Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters, Samaila Uba, a major general, said the US troops would not engage in combat operations. He mentioned this to the Wall Street Journal a few days ago when the US-based paper reported that the United States will deploy 200 troops to Nigeria.

“These personnel do not serve in a combat capacity and will not assume a direct operational role,” Mr Uba also told The New York Times. “Nigerian forces retain full command authority, make all operational decisions and will lead all missions on Nigerian sovereign territory.”

Mr. Uba said the deployment stemmed from recommendations made by a US-Nigeria joint working group and that the forces would serve in an advisory capacity at multiple sites.

The deployment comes after months of mounting pressure from President Trump, who has strongly criticised Nigeria’s government for what he describes as its failure to adequately protect Christians from deadly attacks carried out by Islamist militants and armed groups.

Convicted Killer Claims Police Encouraged Him to Shoot Thieves

Convicted murderer Zacharia Olivier Lo, who killed two women and disposed of their bodies by feeding them to pigs, has told the court that he was influenced by a police officer to commit violent acts.

Lo claimed that he regularly visited the local police station to report repeated thefts at his property. According to his testimony, one police officer allegedly told him that he should shoot the thieves instead of continuing to report the crimes.
He told the court that this alleged advice from law enforcement left him feeling frustrated and emboldened, a claim that has raised serious concerns about policing conduct and accountability.

The state has not accepted Lo’s version of events, and the matter remains under judicial scrutiny. The case continues to draw widespread public attention due to its gruesome nature and the shocking allegations made against the police.
