The Ultimate Pie Crust Guide
🧈 1. All‑Butter Pie Crust 🧈
* 2½ cups all‑purpose flour
* 1 cup cold butter, cubed
* 1 tbsp sugar
* 1 tsp salt
* 6–8 tbsp ice water
Steps:
1. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and salt.
2. Add cold butter and cut it into the flour until pea‑sized.
3. Add ice water 1 tbsp at a time, mixing just until the dough holds together.
4. Divide into 2 discs, wrap, and chill 1 hour.
5. Roll out on a lightly floured surface and use as needed.
6. For a blind‑baked shell: dock, line with parchment, fill with weights, bake at 375°F for 15 minutes, remove weights, bake 10–12 minutes more.

* 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
* ¼ cup sugar
* ½ cup melted butter
Steps:
1. Mix crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly moistened.
2. Press firmly into a pie dish (bottom + sides).

Steps:

* 4–6 tbsp ice water
Steps:
1. Whisk flour, cocoa, and sugar.
2. Cut in cold butter until crumbly with pea‑sized bits.
3. Add ice water gradually until dough comes together.
4. Shape into a disc, wrap, and chill 1 hour.
5. Roll out and use like a standard pie crust.
6. Blind‑bake at 375°F for 15 minutes with weights, then 10 minutes without.
🌱 5. Vegan Pie Crust 🌱
* 2½ cups all‑purpose flour
* ¾ cup cold coconut oil or vegan butter
* 1 tbsp sugar
* 1 tsp salt
* 6–8 tbsp ice water
Steps:
1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt.
2. Add cold coconut oil/vegan butter and cut in until sandy with small chunks.
3. Add ice water gradually until dough forms.
4. Chill 1 hour.
5. Roll out and use as desired.
6. Blind‑bake at 375°F for 15 minutes with weights, then 10 minutes without.
