CHDEC Researchers Shine at 17th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology
London, UK — September 10, 2025 – The 17th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (ICCAP2025), held at the University of Roehampton from September 8–10, brought together world-leading experts to advance knowledge in child and adolescent mental health.
Prof. Rosemary Ekechukwu, Director of Counselling and Human Development Centre (CHDEC), led a team of CHDEC students and researchers who presented new findings on child, youth, and family well-being.
“Our participation at ICCAP2025 demonstrates CHDEC’s commitment to excellence in child and family research,” said Prof. Ekechukwu. “It was an inspiring experience for our students and researchers to share their work on an international stage and to learn from global leaders in the field.”
The conference featured contributions from academics, psychologists, counsellors, therapists, teachers, nutritionists, and social workers worldwide, with discussions spanning mental health interventions, family resilience, and cross-cultural perspectives.
A CHDEC student participant noted: “Presenting at such a prestigious platform has motivated me to push further in my research.”
ICCAP2025 highlighted the vital role of collaboration in addressing the challenges facing children and adolescents globally.
