Here are some vaccines to protect you and your family:

a. Hepatitis B vaccine to prevent Hepatitis B, a liver disease that can cause mild illness lasting a few weeks, or it can lead to a serious, lifelong illness.

b. Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, which prevents cancer-causing infections and precancers.

c. Pneumococcal vaccine, which prevents Pneumococcal disease that causes infections, such as pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections.

d. COVID-19 vaccine prevents you from getting the disease or from becoming seriously ill or dying due to COVID-19.

e. Shingles vaccine prevents shingles, the reactivation of the chickenpox virus in the body, which causes a painful rash. While not life-threatening, shingles can be very painful.

f. Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) vaccine can protect you from lockjaw (tetanus), whooping cough (pertussis), and diphtheria, which can lead to breathing problems.

Messages of Condolence

Sad to hear about the loss of a great leader.

National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), UDUTHS unit chapter, extends its sincerest condolences to the bereaved family, management and entire staff members of UDUTH, Sokoto, over the passing away of our Director of Administration, Alhaji Abbati El-hamzat Dano. Our hearts are incredibly saddened by loss.

Late Abbati was a friendly person, particularly to Nursing community in UDUTHS. He has left at a time the system needed him most. A man generally describe to be calm and peace loving, who throughout his rein as the Director of Administration, championed cause that ensured industrial harmony in the institution.

May God almighty repose his soul, admit him in the choicest place of Jannah and comfort his family during this mourning and difficult time.
