High point of my day, at the 2017 Armed Forces Remembrance Day: speaking with troops in Sambisa Forest via video-call, in a Mobile Command Unit set up for that purpose by the Military. I also spoke with the Air Component of Operation Lafiya Dole, based in Yola, and our soldiers in the UN Mission in Liberia. I thanked them all for the good work they're doing securing and representing us at home and abroad. We are proud of them, and will continue to honor them and acknowledge their gallantry.

Today, as we mark the we remember our heroes past, all men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces who laid down their lives during the first and second world wars, the Civil War, the various internal disturbances, we should all unite to appreciate our military and pray for safety as well as victory for the men still at the battle fronts.
