Strengthening Adolescent Health in Abia State

A strategic meeting was held with The Executive Secretary, Dr. Kalu Ulu Kalu and the Adolescent Focal Persons from all 17 LGAs in the state.

The session provided an important platform to emphasize the significance and far-reaching impact of adolescent health, rights, and nutrition in building a healthier, more empowered young generation. Discussions focused on:

Promoting awareness of adolescent health and reproductive rights.

Strengthening nutrition education and services to support healthy growth and development.

Ensuring inclusive access to adolescent-friendly health services at the community level.

The meeting reinforced the shared commitment of all stakeholders to equip young people with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive—physically, mentally, and socially.

With united efforts across the 17 LGAs, Abia State is taking strong steps toward a future where every adolescent can reach their full potential.
