Mrs. Pearl was a retired teacher who loved to read. Every evening, she’d sit on her porch with her favorite novel and reminisce about her teaching days. But over time, she noticed something strange — the words on the pages blurred, her peripheral vision dimmed, and she found herself bumping into furniture more often.
She blamed it on “old age” — until one day, while crossing the road, she didn’t see a motorcycle speeding toward her from the side. That close call prompted a visit to Valley of Berachah Optics - Eye Clinic.
After a thorough eye exam, the diagnosis came: Advanced Glaucoma.
“I didn’t feel any pain,” she said, confused.
“Yes,” the optometrist, Dr Linda, replied gently, “Glaucoma is known as the silent thief of sight. It creeps in without warning and causes irreversible damage if not caught early.”
