Before your surgery, do these four things.
First — ask questions.
Understanding what’s happening replaces fear with confidence.
Second — prepare your recovery space.
You’re not just having a baby… you’re healing from surgery.
Third — build your support system.
This is not the season to be superwoman.
And finally — prepare your heart.
Your birth may look different than you imagined, but it is still powerful.
It is still sacred.
And it is still a real birth.
Mama, your scar will never be a symbol of weakness.
It will be proof of strength.
If you’re preparing for your first C-section, comment “READY” 🤍
You’re not alone.

Fever After C-Section — When to Rush to the Hospital 🚨

My dear C-section mama, a mild temperature in the first 24 hours can sometimes happen.

But a fever is not something to ignore after surgery.

Here’s when you should go to the hospital immediately:

🔴 Temperature of 38°C (100.4°F) or higher
Especially if it lasts more than a few hours.
🔴 Severe lower abdominal pain that is getting worse, not better.
🔴 Foul-smelling vaginal discharge or unusually heavy bleeding.
🔴 Red, swollen, painful, or leaking incision site (pus or fluid).
🔴 Chills, shaking, or feeling very weak.
🔴 Painful urination or burning when you p*e.
🔴 Breast pain with fever (could be mastitis).

After a C-section, your body is healing from major surgery.
Fever can signal infection — in the womb, incision, bladder, or breasts. The earlier it’s treated, the safer you’ll be.
Please don’t “manage it at home” if your body is raising an alarm. You matter. Your healing matters.

Your baby needs a healthy you. 🤍
Comment ❤️ if this helped.

Did anyone make you feel like your C-section wasn’t a “real birth”?

Let’s say this clearly: A C-section is not a lesser birth. It is a different birth.

Some women hear careless comments like, “At least you didn’t feel real labor,” or “Next time, try to push.”
Those words can sting, especially when you already went through major abdominal surgery, anesthesia, fear, prayers, and a longer recovery.

A real birth is not defined by the route your baby took.

It is defined by the fact that you carried life… and brought that life safely into the world.
How many moms handle it?

Some educate gently: “Actually, I had major surgery. That was my labor.”
Some set boundaries: “My birth story is valid, and I’m proud of it.”

Some choose peace and refuse to explain themselves.

And many heal by surrounding themselves with women who understand.

Mama, if you have a scar, you have a birth story.
And no one gets to rewrite it. 🤍

Happy Monday, Mama 🤍

When they wheeled you into that theatre…
When the lights were bright…
When your heart was racing…
God was not outside.
He was in that room.
Just like He was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire —
He was with you on that surgical table.
Your birth did not surprise Him.
Your scar did not shock Him.
Your emergency did not override His plan.
Sometimes God doesn’t remove the fire.
He steps into it with you.
And your baby came out alive.
You came out alive.
That is Grace.

Do Churches Shame C-Section Mamas?

Let’s talk honestly.

In many church spaces, vaginal birth is often celebrated as the “natural” or even more “spiritual” experience. Testimonies sometimes highlight hours of labor as proof of strength, faith, or endurance. And unintentionally, this can make C-section mamas feel like their story is “less than.”

But here’s the truth:

A C-section is not a failure of faith. It is not a shortcut. It is not a punishment.
It is a medical intervention that saves lives — both mother and baby.

When prayers are called for “safe delivery,” we must remember that safe delivery can look different for every woman.
For some, it means laboring for hours.
For others, it means trusting God in an operating room, under bright lights, surrounded by surgeons.

There should never be a hierarchy in birth stories.

The same God who strengthens a woman in the labor room is the same God who steadies the hands of the doctors during surgery. A scar does not reduce your testimony — it is part of your testimony.
Church spaces should be places of comfort, not comparison.

Celebration, not silent judgment.
This is a safe space, speak respectfully 🤍

Being a C-section mom means…
God trusted you with a different kind of strength.
Not every warrior fights the same way. Some fight on an operating table.
