Advancing Life-Saving Care Through Knowledge & Collaboration

Ibom Multi-Specialty Hospital recently hosted an insightful clinical presentation on the Management of Acute Pulmonary Embolism, delivered by Dr. Sarah Benson, with valuable contributions from distinguished guests including Prof. Anietimfon Etiuma (Professor of Cardiothoracic, Vascular & General Surgery, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital) and Dr. Mrs. Mfon Ekwere (Consultant Pulmonologist, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital).

The session was further honored by the presence of key stakeholders, including the Permanent Secretary of the Hospital Management Board, Dr Abraham Inyangudo.

Discussions highlighted modern diagnostic and treatment approaches with special commendation to the Akwa Ibom State government for the provision of a CT scan machine, significantly improving early detection and accurate diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.

Together, we continue to explore innovative strategies and collaborative efforts aimed at saving more lives and improving patient outcomes.
