There are several eye conditions that can affect your ability to see at night. One example is nyctalopia, or "night blindness," which is a symptom of retinitis pigmentosa and other inherited eye diseases. Other eye diseases that can impact night vision include macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. If you're having trouble seeing at night, it's important to see an eye doctor to determine the cause and receive proper treatment.

Is there anything else you want to know about night vision?

Retinal detachment is a serious eye condition that occurs when the retina separates from the back of the eye. The retina is a thin layer of tissue that lines the inside of the eye and contains photoreceptors (rods and cones) that sense light. When the retina detaches, it can no longer send signals to the brain, which results in vision loss. Symptoms of retinal detachment include a sudden increase in the number of floaters, flashing lights, and a shadow or curtain across the field of vision.

This is a big myth that needs to be debunked! The idea that putting urine in the eye can treat eye diseases, like cataracts, glaucoma, or retinitis pigmentosa, is simply not true.

Urine contains ammonia and other waste products that can actually damage the eyes. In fact, putting any foreign substance in the eye without the guidance of a doctor can lead to infection, inflammation, and vision loss.
So, please don't put urine in your eyes - it's not a safe or effective treatment for any eye condition.

If you have any underlying eye condition, visit an Opthalmologist

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a rare, inherited eye disease that causes a progressive loss of vision. It's caused by a breakdown of the rods and cones in the retina, which are responsible for light and color perception. Early symptoms of RP can include poor night vision, peripheral vision loss, and difficulty seeing in low light. As the disease progresses, the field of vision narrows and central vision may be lost. While there's no cure for RP, there are treatments that can help slow the progression of the disease.

So, refractive error is when the eye doesn't bend light properly, which causes images to be blurry or distorted. The most common types of refractive error are myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.
These conditions can usually be corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses, or surgery. If left untreated, refractive error can cause headaches, eye strain, and decreased quality of life.

It's important to have regular eye exams done to detect refractive error early and prevent these complications.

So, as we mentioned before, glaucoma is a condition that affects the eyes and can cause vision loss. There are different types of glaucoma, but the most common type is called primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). With POAG, the eye's drainage system doesn't work properly, causing a build-up of fluid in the eye. This increased pressure can damage the optic nerve, which is responsible for sending visual information from the eye to the brain. Symptoms of glaucoma can include blurred vision, halos around lights, eye pain, and red eyes.
