Being a celebrity is a challenging job, and it can significantly affect your wellbeing if you are not strategic about it. Becoming a celebrity requires hard work, determination, and dedication and most importantly, you must balance your wellbeing as you go along this journey. Your wellbeing comprises several dimensions: financial, physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, digital and sexual. You must be bold to put yourself out there and face the scrutiny and criticism of the public eye, and in doing this, you must create a work-life balance or be swallowed up by the industry's demand. It's important to remember the realities of the industry before pursuing a career in entertainment.

The pursuit of fame as a primary goal in life is complicated. However, here are some possible critical steps that individuals may take to become a celebrity and balance your wellbeing at the same time:

Develop a unique talent or skill set that sets you apart. This could be singing, acting, writing, comedy, or any other talent with mass appeal.

Build a social media following by consistently sharing content and engaging with your followers. This includes posting exciting and engaging pictures, videos, and written content showcasing your personality and talent.

Network with other celebrities and industry professionals to gain exposure and create new opportunities for yourself. Attend industry events, conferences, and parties to meet and connect with influential people.

Hire a reputable agent or publicist to help you navigate the entertainment industry and handle your publicity.

Please check if you have any of these symptoms….Be true to yourself….you need to guard your mind with greatest care. Your mind is you!

I just had a lovely discussion with a good friend of mine. I learnt a lot about how youngsters from 13 – 18 years are admitted in several psychiatric wards because of hard drugs and sniffing in some gases.

Their parents are hardly aware and BOOM!!! Mental wellness is compromised. We don’t have to go down this route…

Say No to Drugs !!!!

Say No to Peer Pressures that cause negative influences !!!!

Guys be real to yourself… if you do notice any of these signs, please seek help.

Social Withdrawal: In this case, you avoid dealing with or engaging with others. This happens when you are dealing with something on a personal level. For example, a situation is eating you up, and you decide to keep it to yourself because you are unsure of others' reactions. You are hesitant and choose who they will share the concern with.



Mood changes/Mood swings: This is very negative and affects relationships as people find it hard to understand you or how to relate with you as they do not know when you are in the mood to speak or are irritated. It keeps people especially loved ones, away.



Changes in sleep and hunger: People who notice that they can hardly sleep or feel hungry are worried or bothered about something, which has trended over time. Delays in taking care of these symptoms can lead to withdrawal and restlessness.



Lack of initiative: Where you see yourself unmotivated and unwilling to try something new signals that something is amiss, and you need to check yourself. If you are in a place of work, you hesitate to try something new, affecting your professional growth and leading to a loss of functioning.



Thinking Disorder: Here, you have a problem with thinking that can trap one in a single perspective, and you are likely to hold on firmly to your thinking biases. You do not accept others' views, which can decrease your decision-making ability and affect problem-solving at work and home.

In today's fast-paced world, where the rat race is typical, it's easy to overlook our mental health, leading to stress, anxiety, and depression. Because of the many demands on our time and attention, prioritizing mental health can be challenging. But please note that the people staying sane and achieving much from life also have the same 24 hours and 24/7 with you.

In this article, we'll discuss the importance of mental wellness and explore some practical steps you can take to care for your mental health.

What is Mental Wellness?

Mental wellness refers to our emotional and psychological state. It deals with how we feel about ourselves (self-image) and how we cope with stress and adversity.

Why is Mental Wellness Important?

Mental wellness is crucial for overall wellbeing as it makes us think, make sound decisions, and form healthy relationships with others. It also enables us to cope with stress and adversity, bounce back from setbacks, and experience a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Are there any consequences of poor mental health?

Yes, see some below, and I am sure it's relatable.

You can't concentrate and make decisions

You always talk negatively, and you have low self-esteem

You have excessive mood swings and irritability

Anxiety and depression are your companions

You find comfort in substances/drugs to make you high

You are social, and loneliness clings tightly to you

If any of the six signs refer to you, don't worry, as we will be sharing some tips below on how you can boost your mental wellbeing. Please note that this process is continuous (Abeg.... Rome was not built in a day). But it would be best if you were committed and intentional about the changes you want to see.

Practice Self-Care: Self-care includes exercise, meditation, or spending time in nature. It's important to make self-care a regular part of your routine, even if it's just for a few minutes each day.

Connect with Others: This implies making an effort to connect with friends and family regularly, whether it's through phone calls, text messages, or in-person visits.

Set Realistic Goals: Set achievable goals aligned with your values and interests. Start by breaking larger goals down into smaller, manageable steps.

Prioritize Sleep: Sleep is essential for good mental health. Sleep for 7-8 hours each night and establish a consistent sleep routine. Positive affirmation is fundamental before sleep.

Seek Professional Help: If you suspect you are struggling with your mental health, please seek professional help through therapy, counselling, or medication. Seeking help doesn't make you a hopeless weakling.

Maintaining balance in our lives is crucial for overall wellness. It's about finding the perfect work-life balance and balancing our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. In this article, we'll explore what balance wellbeing is, why it's essential, and some practical steps you can take to achieve it.

What is Balance wellbeing?-, "Balance Wellbeing means judging life positively and feeling good all around." That's just it. No long talk. No argument.

But for the benefit of providing details, balance wellbeing refers to the state of equilibrium between different aspects of our lives. It's about finding the right balance between our physical, emotional, and spiritual health and ensuring we're not neglecting any area. The problem is in neglecting an area.

So I was hoping you could do me a favour and look into you....yes, look into you as a person. (Na only you waka come to this life- so focus on you) is there any aspect of the wellbeing dimensions you consciously or unconsciously take for granted? It could be your health, social life, physical fitness, mental wellness, financial wellbeing, etc.

Why is Balance Wellbeing Important?

Balance wellbeing is essential for several reasons:

Physical Health: Here, we take care of our physical health by exercise, healthy eating, and adequate sleep, which can help prevent chronic diseases and improve our overall wellbeing.

Emotional Health: Here, we take care of our emotional health through meditation and mindfulness and seek emotional support when we're struggling.

Spiritual Health: Here, we prioritize activities that bring us a sense of purpose and meaning, such as volunteering, practising gratitude, or connecting with nature.

Mental Wellness: Here, we watch out and protect ourselves against stress, frustration, depression etc. Our minds and the ability to think is the centre of our resilience.

Sexual Wellness: Love and relationship make the world go round, but we must do it correctly.
Digital Wellbeing: Here is where social media comes in. We all love social media as it has made life comfortable, but we must be careful of addiction and excessive exposure.

Financial Wellbeing: Here is one the most critical in the wellbeing dimension. Money answereth all. Money stops nonsense. At this stage, I am forced to ask about the different ways you make money.

How to Achieve Balance Wellbeing

Achieving balance wellness is an ongoing process that requires self-awareness- you need to know who you are; intentionality- you have to be intentional about getting to the equilibrium, and commitment- you must be committed to enhancing your wellbeing. Coaches can only guide and help you with a blueprint. The responsibility lies with you....."No ifs, No buts."

Please take these steps to achieve balance in your life:

Set Priorities: Identify your priorities in each area of your life. 1st, find out what your vision is.

Create a Schedule: Use a calendar or planner to schedule your activities, and be intentional about setting aside time for self-care, social connections, and spiritual practices.

Practice Mindfulness: We must emphasize this. Forget about the past; live in the present because it's the presence that gives birth to the future.

Let's be mindful of our thoughts and emotions and live in the NOW- the present.

Learn to Say No: Say no to activities that don't align with your priorities or values, or else you get burnt out.

Seek Support: Be bold and seek support. This could mean talking to a friend, family member, or professional counsellor.

Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

In conclusion, achieving balance wellbeing is essential for overall health and happiness. We can live a fulfilling and meaningful life by prioritizing our physical, emotional, and spiritual health, etc. and taking intentional steps to maintain balance in each area.

Remember balance wellbeing is like a perfectly ripe avocado pear.
