Story time, please read till the end
A little girl of about 6 years almost died yesterday because her step mum refused to give her treatment for over 3 days after she accidently stepped on a rusty nail while playing outside. The girl would later contact tetanus and was rushed to the hospital by neighbour's after she was having seizures and contraction of the muscles (spasm). Thank God the girl is okay and recovering. Tetanus injection is less than a thousand naira in local chemist. Her father had traveled away for work and the step mother said she asked the girl not to go out and okay but she refused and so she will not attend to the girl, instead she decided to use hot oil and knife to close up the wound. The leg would later get infected and almost cost the girl her life. Please treat every child as your own and prioritize the health of every child.
