CAN I TAKE ACT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C?

It's generally not recommended to take Vitamin C alongside antimalarial medications like Lonart or other Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs)

Here is why 👇👇

Reduced Efficacy: Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant, which can counteract the oxidative stress induced by antimalarial drugs, potentially reducing their effectiveness in clearing malaria parasites.

Interference with Drug Metabolism: Vitamin C may inhibit certain enzymes (Kinases) important for drug metabolism, leading to prolonged drug metabolism times and increased adverse effects.

Iron Absorption: Vitamin C can enhance iron absorption, which may be beneficial for individuals with anemia but detrimental for those with malaria, as the parasites can feed on iron and multiply.

WHAT IS MONONUCLEOSIS?

Mononucleosis is infection often called the kissing disease. The virus that causes it is called "Epstein-Barr virus" and it transmitted through saliva, so you can get it through kissing, but you can also be exposed through a cough or sneeze, or by sharing a glass or food utensils with someone who has mononucleosis.

The virus has an incubation period of approximately four to six weeks, although in young children this period may be shorter. Signs and symptoms such as fever and sore throat usually lessen within a couple of weeks, although fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes and a swollen spleen may last for a few weeks longer.

Soft, swollen

Fever
