Well, I am off in several days to explore London and add skills to my yoga practice.
When I am done with my second section of the program in late March I should have acquired these new skills: which I'll have to turn it into 3-4 posts as it's quite an exhaustive list. But as Martha Stewart always said, "That's a good thing". It really is, mamas and papas!
- Work that baby body of yours! Just pregnant and feeling a bit off, nauseated? We have Yoga for YOU! Ok, what I mean is, we can look at moves that helps either avoids the nausea or help soothe it. The poses aren't always moving per say - but ways to relax into certain positions that will help ease any discomforts.
- As you know, there are three trimesters during your pregnancy. The first trimesters clearly isn't the same as the other trimesters. So things means a difference in focus on poses. Thus, the yoga classes tend to be broken up per trimester. However, there are also ways to keep all mamas to be together as well.
-The moves tend to aim towards relaxation, hip openers and easing back pains. But if you already proactive in yoga, feel free to continue what you do, with more awareness of what feels right and avoid any unnecessary pressures to that growing belly.
AND! The best part, I'll be learning some prenatal massages too! Yoga and massage all in one you say? Yep, just for you.
-Lastly, there are a range of classes that can be proposed.
An example: Restorative Prenatal yoga - consist of Side-laying savasana, gentle hip openers, breathing exercises and short period of meditation.
All this is barely scratching the surfaces and I simply can not wait to learn more!!!
Namaste!
