Open your eyes and sit with yourself, walk in silence, breath and feel your unease, pain, sorrow, sadness…till you think can’t .’die’ and breath again into the emptiness. Repeat over and over again… one day

“Be Here Now!” We can’t. We have too much trauma in the way. “The Power of Now!” sounds good, but first we have to deal with the “Power of Then.” Worst things, first. It’s easy enough to talk about being in the ‘now.’ But what are we even talking about? ‘Now’ through the mind? Through the heart? Through the body? What does it even mean to be fully present? Many of the people teaching ‘nowness’ are head-tripping, meditation-addicted spiritual bypassers. What do they really know about presence? The truth is that we are all trauma survivors, and that includes every spiritual teacher I have ever known. Almost every one of them has confused self-avoidance with enlightenment, blaming the mind for their problems and issues while conveniently sidestepping their wounded hearts. Bottom line—we can’t be in the present, because our emotional and physical body are tied up in trauma knots. Threads of our consciousness are still back there, locked into the originating wounds. If we want to truly BE HERE NOW, we have to BE THERE, THEN. We have to untie the knots and heal the core wounds. Then, and only ‘then,’ will we know the true power of NOW.

Your arches don’t need support, they need to be loaded and strengthened ✔️
The arch is an inherently supportive structure by its nature. Just like a bridge, it should be capable of withstanding the loads that are placed on it from above (your body).
I often get asked about arch supporting footwear and orthotics. While they can occasionally help reduce symptoms and act as a short term solution to foot problems, they are very rarely the answer.
A strong foot and arch can be achieved through some basic strength exercises along with more general barefoot or unsupported loading.
The arch requires load to adapt and strengthen. Load can be anything, and it starts with simply more time on the feet (standing and walking barefoot or with minimalist style shoes). Strength training barefoot or with unsupportive footwear is another example of loading.
💊 The dose matters of course. Loading the feet way more than they are used to in the short term can create problems, just as much as loading the feet too little.
🔑 The feet and arches are meant to be loaded, not supported by external structures or footwear. The less reliance on external support, the stronger the feet get and the more function you can unlock.
Think twice about supportive footwear. It’s rarely necessary and often works against you in the long term. Get your feet strong and robust by loading them more!

The plantar fascia/arches ✔️
⬇️
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common forms of foot pain. The plantar fascia is a band of tissue that spans the bottom of the foot, originating at the heel (where pain is most commonly felt).
🦶 The plantar fascia helps support the arch of the foot. Although it plays an important role in foot function, it can be overloaded over time. Plantar fasciitis is essentially tissue overload causing pain at the site of attachment (the heel).
⬇️
The plantar fascia doesn’t work in isolation. Although it plays a big role in supporting the arch, there are many other players in the arch support system that must be taken into account:
• The intrinsic muscles of the foot.
• The lower leg musculature, which attaches into the foot/ankle and helps support the arch and create a rigid lever.
• The hip, which is a huge factor in foot function and control of the arch downstream via the torque and stability it creates for everything below it.
⬇️
All of these elements are necessary for functional feet/arches. Getting to the root of plantar fasciitis often involves strengthening these other ‘arch support’ tissues and building better overall stability.
⬇️
The feet are loaded with muscle. Clinically, foot strength is often lacking in those with plantar fasciitis, and this is one of the potential reasons it is getting overloaded. Part of any treatment should be to gradually build up strong, robust feet that are capable of handling repetitive load.
