Happy Birthday to Vincent van Gogh, painter of the world-famous Sunflowers, who was born on 30 March 1853.

Did you know that the Van Gogh Museum Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is Sunflower-friendly and welcomes visitors with non-visible disabilities? Sunflower wearers from around the world experience kindness and understanding, from Sunflower trained staff.

Motor Neuron Disease (MND) affects motor neurons, which are the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that tell our muscles what to do.

Sunflower wearer, Kirk Gittons, who lives with MND, aims to raise awareness and funds for the MND Association by bungee jumping in Battersea Park, London on 4 April.

“Losing the ability to have a fluent conversation and struggling with certain words is extremely upsetting and frustrating. I am also now struggling to eat certain foods, which make me choke and are stressful for me, and my wife.” Kirk

Kirk has persuaded a petrified Chantal from the Sunflower team to join him. Please support their effort by donating to Kirk’s fundraising page for the MND Association.
