With great sadness, it was announced over the weekend that Ricky Hatton has died. The former boxing world champion captured the hearts of boxing fans everywhere.

It is a reminder of the importance of reaching out and speaking with someone when depression begins to overwhelm.

De Hidden Disabilities Sunflower items 🌻 zijn een (h)erkenning voor mensen met een niet-zichtbare aandoening, handicap of beperking.
Het geeft géén privileges, kortingen of voorrang.

De mensen die het keycord of polsbandje dragen geven,op momenten dat zij het nodig hebben, op een discrete manier aan dat er wellicht iets meer tijd, hulp of aandacht nodig is. Dit verschilt dus ook per persoon,per moment.

Het dragen van de Sunflower is ook een vrijwillige keuze.
De drager bepaalt altijd zelf waar,,wanneer en op welk moment het item gedragen of getoond wordt.
Je kunt hierdoor met elkaar in gesprek gaan en aangeven wat voor jou op dat moment nodig is.
Het werkt inspirerend,motiverend en de-escalerend.

Today is FASD Awareness Day

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. It is caused by being exposed to alcohol while in the womb. Alcohol in the mother's blood passes to her baby through the placenta and can cause damage to cells in the baby's brain, spinal cord and other parts of their body, and disrupt their development in the womb.

Sir Chris Hoy has pulled off a phenomenal charity bike ride, Tour De 4 , to raise money for cancer charities and to demonstrate that, 'It is possible to live well and lead a happy life alongside this devastating diagnosis'

Sir Chris is a six-time Olympic cycling champion living with Stage 4 prostate cancer. He amassed 5,000 riders, many of whom also have Stage 4 cancer, along with esteemed athletes and celebrities. There were three distances, allowing everyone to participate, culminating at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow.

Het is zover ,een prachtig sportief en uniek evenement , de Dutch GP F1 op het circuit van Zandvoort !

Het werd ons heel duidelijk dat er onder de Sunflower dragers veel F1/Max fans zijn, en natuurlijk ook van de andere teams 😉

Daarom zijn we enorm blij dat de organisatie
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower heeft meegenomen in het toegankelijkheidsbeleid van dit fantastische evenement. De medewerkers, vrijwilligers en horeca zijn ingelicht over de betekenis van het Sunflower keycord. Dus ga je naar Zandvoort neem je Sunflower keycord of polsbandje mee. De Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is gekozen omdat de Hidden Disabilities Sunflower een ​​universeel herkenbaar en vrolijk symbool is dat geluk, positiviteit, kracht, groei en zelfvertrouwen symboliseert.

Iedereen met een niet-zichtbare beperking en /of aandoening kan ervoor kiezen om de Sunflower te dragen. 🌻

Iedereen die gezien en ondersteund wil worden.

Van mensen die dringend naar het toilet moeten, tot mensen die niet lang kunnen staan, tot mensen die meer tijd nodig hebben op drukke plekken, de Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is er voor hen.

Het is een discrete manier om aan te geven : "Ik heb vandaag misschien wat meer tijd, ondersteuning en begrip nodig."

🌻Trots om als social partner Hidden Disabilities Sunflower - Netherlandsverbonden te zijn aan SAIL AMSTERDAM

Sail Amsterdam 2025.
Een uniek nautisch evenement dat mensen,culturen en verhalen verbindt.

In 1975 werd SAIL voor de eerste keer georganiseerd te ere van de 700e verjaardag van onze hoofdstad.

Sinds 1975 komen elke vijf jaar Tall Ships van over de hele wereld naar Amsterdam. SAIL werd voor het eerst georganiseerd door de Amsterdamse haven als viering voor het 700-jarig bestaan van de hoofdstad. Dankzij het enorme succes werd toen besloten dit eens in de vijf jaar te herhalen. Door de jaren heen groeide SAlL uit tot het grootste vrij toegankelijke evenement van Nederland. In 2025 vieren we de 750ste verjaardag van onze hoofdstad, het 50-jarig bestaan van SAlL én de 10e editie van het grootste nautische evenement ter wereld
Dus is het in 2025 opnieuw feest: 750 jaar

Amsterdam én 50 jaar SAIL. Maar dat is nog niet alles! In 2020 kon SAIL in verband met de pandemie niet doorgaan, daardoor werd de 10 jubileumeditie doorgeschoven naar 2025. Driedubbel feest dus! En dat gaan we op een bijzondere manier vieren! In het jaar dat onze hoofdstad haar 750e verjaardag viert is SAIL het moment om mensen vanuit alle windstreken te ontvangen! Een feest op water en kade, voor en door 'Nederland Waterland' met inspirerende wavemakers!
In een wereld die verbonden is door water brengen golven ons dichter bij elkaar. Het grootste vrij toegankelijke evenement van Nederland biedt een uniek platform om die verbondenheid te laten zien, tijdens het evenement én daarbuiten.
