Let your spirit be awakened
by the fresh energy of Spring
as the New Moon in Aries
marks the beginning of a new cycle,
bringing a natural impulse to move, to begin,
to give direction to what is ready to come into form.

Allow yourself to surrender
into the wild dance of creation.
After the contraction of Winter,
there is space for expansion.

Follow nature’s example
and give your spirit room to blossom,
riding the wave of fertile energy.

Spread your wings,
open to new beginnings,
and move bravely into the unknown,
supported by the fresh Spring air.

Happy New Moon

Next week Thursday we begin our annual Spring Detox Sadhana, an 11 day container in which we eat a simple green diet to support the body’s natural detoxification and create space for release.

If you are longing for more clarity, more energy, or a greater sense of ease in your body, this is a beautiful moment to respond to that.

Each morning from 7:00–7:30 AM CEST we come together in practice. Through Kundalini Yoga we work on the Liver and the circulation of energy, supporting the body in restoring flow on both a physical and mental level.

You can join live or practice in your own rhythm with the recordings.

Throughout these 11 days you are supported with daily live sessions, a full additional Kundalini Yoga sequence for the Liver, recipes and preparation guidance, and a shared community space.

From April 17–27 we move through 4 days of preparation into 7 days of detox, creating a steady rhythm that supports clearing, renewal, and a system that feels more open and responsive.

You are warmly invited to join 💚 https://kundaliniyogaschool.org/event/green-detox-sadhana/

Tonight we meet the Full Moon in Libra, also known as the Pink Moon. This Moon draws attention to how we relate, to ourselves, to others, and to the space in between.

🌕 Libra highlights how we meet others and what becomes visible in that meeting. Small shifts in breath, posture, and attention often reveal more than we realize.

🌕 Relationship can be experienced as feedback. It shows how we respond, how we adjust, and how we hold ourselves in connection.

🌕 What do your relationships reflect back to you about the way you relate to yourself?

Full Moon Blessings 🩷

We were supposed to be in India right now, following the calling of our heart to dive into Bhakti, visiting temples and submerge ourselves deeper into music. But our flights got cancelled and it didn’t feel right to book new ones, it felt like life was inviting us to experience the temple at home, and to create the time and space to answer that longing for Bhakti right here.

So here I am, spending many hours everyday exploring ancient Ta***ic teachings, contemplating, and chanting. I’ve created my home retreat, leaving the world aside for a moment and return to myself, guided by pointings that speak directly to my heart. Somehow it helps to make sense even of all the madness that is currently going on.

Here you see me in front of my altar, dedicate to Devi, to Shakti in her many forms, this is where I sit, meditate and chant. This is the room that I call my Birthing Chamber, its like a womb space where over the past 5 years I have created so many things. And right now I am feeling pregnant with something that longs to be birthed through me. I don’t know what it is and I am enjoying that. Like the joyful anticipation of beholding your child for the first time.

I hold space, I nourish, I rest and I am available for this process. I consider myself so blessed to be able to spend time like this, in self chosen hermitage, an undispensable phase in the creation process, at least for me.

Today is also the 8th day of Navratri, and these final days are linked to the Shakti of Sarasvati, Goddess of wisdom, inspiration, mantra, art and music, in short creativity.

In these days I consciously offer myself as a vessel for this creative power to flow through me, expressing herself through me. When the time is right it will come into the manifest, but until that time I let it come into maturation, embracing this moment fully.

Sending you many blessings from my temple and may you also tap into that creative flow that brings so much joy and aliveness.

Today is the Spring Equinox. What does it mean?

🔸The portal of the Spring Equinox is a moment in the solar year that has been honored in ancient cultures throughout time as an important transition point.

🔸On the day of the Equinox the hours of daylight and darkness are exactly equal and the sun and moon energies are in balance naturally.

🔸This equilibrium of sun and moon energies presents us with an opportunity to to go into the middle, or as yogis would say, the Sushumna, the most central Nadi

🔸This Nadi opens when Ida and Pingala, the energy channels that are connected to the sun and moon, are in balance.

🔸This is what allows Kundalini Shakti to rise.

🔸Hence the importance of the Equinox for the yogis, it offers an opportunity to expand beyond the polarities and taste the bliss of being merged in the Source.

The meditation we do everyday in the ‘Moving from Within Sadhana’, is the perfect practice for now, as it balances Ida & Pingala and opens the Sushumna, to welcome the Rising Life Force and invite Kundalini Shakti to flow.

We have started but you can still join us and benefit from the current energies to support your practice --> https://kundaliniyogaschool.org/event/moving-from-within-sadhana/

The geometry in this image is inspired by the 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗮 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮.

Three upward pointing triangles intersect. Through their meeting a 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝗽𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲, holding the 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂 at the center. Behind them rests a larger downward pointing triangle, the field of Shakti from which these movements arise.

This geometry reflects the inner journey traditionally explored during 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶, the nine nights devoted to the Goddess.

🔻 The first nights are dedicated to 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗮, the force that confronts the patterns that disturb clarity in the mind.

🔻 The middle nights honor 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶, the restoring power that allows energy to move more freely again when those patterns begin to soften.

🔻 The final nights are devoted to 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗶, the quiet illumination that appears when the mind grows steady and awareness begins to expand.

Seen in this way, the three triangles describe a natural inner movement.

🔺 As these movements of Shakti come into alignment, the fourth triangle appears. Awareness steadies, and the ground becomes ready for 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲.

During the 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮, beginning on March 19 with the New Moon, we practice a meditation called 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, exploring this process through breath and attention as we move together through the days of Navratri.

The 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗮 of this Sadhana is to let our practice become a gesture of willingness, extending our hands toward 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶 and letting her know we are ready to move beyond the confinements of the mind.

If you feel the call to practice during this cycle devoted to the Goddess, you are warmly invited to join us. We gather each morning 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟳.𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟳.𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗖𝗘𝗧 to practice together. We will post the replay immediately afterwards in our online community so join anyway if you cannot attend the livestream but still want to benefit from the shared container of practice and community.

𝗔𝗻 𝟭𝟭-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻
From March 19–29 we practice together each morning as the New Moon, the Spring Equinox, and the beginning of Navratri unfold within the same days.

▼ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻
The beginning of a new lunar cycle.

▼ 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘅
The moment when day and night come into balance and the season turns toward light.

▼ 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶
The nine nights devoted to the awakening of Shakti, the life force that moves through all of creation.

Moments like this naturally invite renewal and new movement in life.

For eleven days we gather each morning from 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 – 𝟳:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗖𝗘𝗧, practicing together and consciously moving with this seasonal transition.

Instead of letting the shift of the season pass by unnoticed, Sadhana offers a way to engage with it directly and strengthen the connection to the inner alignment from which meaningful movement can grow.

During these days we practice with the theme 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻, allowing the rising energy of spring to support new clarity, vitality, and engagement with life.

You are warmly invited to join us --> https://kundaliniyogaschool.org/event/moving-from-within-sadhana/

If you cannot attend live, registration includes 𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, so you can practice in your own rhythm and time zone.

Every year we gather in Italy, in the foothills of the Ligurian Alps, for a profound week of Deep Practice.

These weeks always unfold, we never repeat the same program. Of course there is a clear structure that serves as a container, but the content always presents itself in a spontaneous way as we attune to the field.

That is probably why so many people keep coming back, year after year. Because in this Sacred Space lineair time drops away and it seems that each year we keep spiralling deeper and deeper into the essence of Being. The divine dance of Shiva & Shakti, dancing this Retreat into being, into timelesness, into the now.

If you want to experience a week of rising before the sun, chanting in the first rays of light, diving deep within yourself through profound practice, reflection and contemplation, soul connection, and nourishing healthy food, stepping into a sacred vessel out of time, then come and join us!

26 June - 3 July in Italy, Ventimiglia (close to Nice, France)

Your online guide to a daily practice

The online Kundalini Yoga School was founded in 2016 by Marieke & Tim. Up till now we have been sharing Kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan. However due to current developments we have chosen to explore a new approach to share this yoga practice.

We leave behind the old paradigm that only allows us to teach the Kriyas exactly the way Yogi Bhajan did. Not by changing the Kriyas, but through creating our own sequences of asana, mudra and mantra, based on our own experience, understanding, insight, intuition and further study.

We are opening up to a broad spectrum of resources, not to invent something new, but to become much more clear about why Kundalini Yoga works the way it does, and how we can develop our knowledge and skills as yoga practitioners and teachers to work with the exercises in an intuitive yet knowledge based way. We are very aware that this seems to go against the paradigm that only the Master Yogi Bhajan was allowed to design Kriyas (or channel, download them, however one may want to call it) but we want to dedicate our time and energy to the evolution of the practice, leaving behind this paradigm that no longer feels right for us. We feel that the way forward is about tapping into the intuitive wisdom that guides us into how to move the body, whilst deepening our understanding about how our bodies work, how the subtle energies flow through the nadis, how we can benefit our health through the individual asanas and asanas in sequence, how we can have a positive impact on the mind through the breath, etc. It’s not magic, it’s ancient knowledge that is getting backed up by science more and more. How beautiful would it be if we can learn to work with this knowledge from that deeper understanding and start to share and create from there?

You can sign up for our (weekly) newsletter if you wish to receive updates about the progress and the process. It’s our intention to find a way forward together.
