For my apple pie lovers on a caloric deficit budget 🥧

Seriously the easiest way to turn an ordinary apple into a treat:
🍎slice the apple
🍎sprinkle with cinnamon
🍎air fry on 175C/350F for 10 min
🍎eat immediately while it’s warm!

The cinnamon helps with blood sugar control, the heat brings out the natural sweetness of the apple, and the two together taste soooo good.

Of course you COULD add some vanilla ice cream too! 😇

2 years and 101 hours of personal training with in the books ✔️Can you believe it?!

Today was our last session in the gym, but your voice is permanently in my head:
• “Watch your depth” on the leg press
• “Chin above the bar!” on pull-ups
• “Wrists strong!” on the chest press
• Controlling the eccentric, not rushing the hold
• Not letting my hips cave on lunges
• About 4 different cues on deadlifts 😅
• …and soooo many more

My form and technique have improved massively and I’ve learned a TON, so this bird is ready to fly 🐦‍🔥

I’m definitely going to miss our rest time chats though!

Spent a few days in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and absolutely thriving on the food here 🌿🇶🇦

Often travel can upset the gut, but not with a steady stream of plants, fiber, color, EVOO, fermented foods, and variety!!

Similar to the Mediterranean diet, the Arabic diet is a health coaches dream 😍

Fresh vegetables, legumes & herbs: meze dishes like hummus, baba ganoush, moutabal on chickpeas, eggplant, parsley, lemon, garlic

Olive oil & nuts used as primary fats rather than heavy cream or butter.

Grilled lean meats or fish, often served with rice or bread and vegetables

Traditional breads and flatbreads, whole grain or minimally processed, accompany meals.

Tons of spices and herbs for flavor rather than relying on salt or heavy sauces

And shared plate style communal eating for social connection 🥰

I recently got glasses (again, after lasik 6 years ago!) and it got me thinking about eye health 👓

This is super important, especially if you have kids! Read on for why…. 📱👀

Apple’s Screen Distance uses the TrueDepth camera to warn you when you’re holding your phone too close. It’s not just about comfort, it’s about long-term eye health.

Here’s why it matters ⤵️

FOR ADULTS: holding your phone too close can lead to:
• Eye strain + headaches
• Temporary blurry vision
• Dry, irritated eyes
• Neck pain from leaning forward
• Something called “accommodative spasm” where your eyes struggle to switch between near and far focus

FOR KIDS:
This is where it becomes more serious. Too much close up screen time can:
• Increase the risk of myopia (nearsightedness)
