Fasting is a powerful spiritual practice. You regain control over your body and will, to realise life is not about material needs. It cleans your stomach and gut. And it gives you lots of energy, even if that may sound contradictory.
I fast one day a week, and then for a longer period every change of season. I only intake liquids, in the morning some juice and tea with plant-based milk. The rest of the day lots of water.
