On Saturday, November 25, Dr. Peter Velthuis and Dr. Albert Wolkerstorfer explored the theory and practical applications of laser and energy-based devices (EBD) in the field at the autumn symposium of the NVCD at Skin Media Center in Amsterdam. The morning sessions included discussions led by experts like Dr. Albert Wolkerstorfer and Dr. Peter Velthuis and the afternoon involved live patient treatments and hands-on training in six practical rooms, with participants rotating through different groups. The focus was on understanding the physics behind lasers and EBD, practical aspects of treatments like laser hair removal and blood vessel treatment, and demonstrations of techniques such as pico laser and microneedling with radiofrequency on various models, including chicken legs, tomatoes, and real patients. The event aims to provide insights into the effective use of these devices and troubleshooting challenges in clinical settings.
