Over 80 partners. One room. A shared focus on what’s next. ✨

This week, we hosted Delivering the Future in Amsterdam, bringing together retail and grocery leaders at the AI House powered by Prosus for our first AI-focused summit.

Across the day, we moved beyond the hype and into what’s actually happening at JET. From our AI Voice Assistant to autonomous delivery with robots and drones, plus advances in Retail Media and lifecycle marketing, the focus was on real solutions driven by world-class tech capabilities.

But some of the best moments? The conversations in between. Ideas shared, perspectives challenged, and new connections made across the room.

At Just Eat Takeaway.com, we marked International Women’s Day with a series of global sessions led by our Women in Tech Community, centred around this year’s theme: give to gain, celebrating the power of shared knowledge, support and collective growth. ✨

Across a week in March, colleagues came together to learn, share and reflect. From a keynote with AI leader Toju Duke, exploring inclusive AI and the importance of lifting others as you grow, to a session with Executive Coach Kristina Zumpolle on the real impact of mentoring.

We also launched a new series of career chats, where senior women across the business shared their journeys, the highs, the challenges and the lessons along the way. Leaders including Jessica Hall (CPO), Hella Van de Haterd and Alexis Bowan opened up and shared their experiences with our Women in Tech community.

At the heart of it all was a simple idea: when knowledge, experience and support are shared, everyone grows.

Moments like these show how our communities continue to create space for learning, connection and growth across JET. 🧡

A warm welcome to Lewis Atkinson MP, who stopped by our new Sunderland office last week.

Over coffee and a tour of the space, Lewis met some of the team and learned more about the work happening across Just Eat UK, from supporting local restaurants to bringing everyday convenience to customers across the region.

Our presence in the North East is something we’re proud of. Today, our operations contribute £20.8 million directly to the local economy, with a further £31.7 million generated through supply-chain and worker spending, supporting businesses and communities across the region.

Sunderland, meet your new singing delivery robot🤖

Building on our wider exploration of autonomous delivery in the UK, we’re rolling into Sunderland with a new pilot in partnership with Starship Technologies.

From burgers and British classics to bubble tea, 12 local Just Eat partners are now offering “delivery by robot” to more than 11,000 households across the city centre, with orders arriving autonomously in minutes.

And yes… these bright orange robots will be singing the iconic “Did Somebody Say” jingle when they arrive at your door. 🎵

Since relocating our Customer Service team to Sunderland in 2021, we’ve continued to invest in the city and its future. This latest trial is another example of how we’re combining local partnerships with cutting-edge tech to enhance the delivery experience.

As Mert Öztekin, Chief Technology Officer at Just Eat, said:
“Our ground robotics trials are all about innovating to improve the customer experience. We’ve teamed up with a diverse range of local independent restaurants to trial the Starship robots and we’ll be listening to their feedback closely, as well as that of our customers.”

Celebrating workplaces where different ways of thinking are recognised and valued 🧡

The finalists for the inaugural Neurodiverse Business Awards have been revealed, celebrating neurodivergent talent and the organisations building truly neuroinclusive cultures across the UK.

We’re honoured to be shortlisted for Employer of the Year.

With an estimated 15–20% of the population identifying as neurodivergent, this conversation has never mattered more. These Awards shine a light on what happens when businesses move beyond awareness and actively build environments where different ways of thinking can thrive.

When love meets last minute💘

This Valentine’s Day marked the biggest single day for retail sales on Just Eat Takeaway.com, as customers turned to on-demand convenience to make sure no romantic gesture was left behind.

Retail orders surged 72% year-on-year, with thousands of last-minute gifts arriving in under an hour. Flowers led the way, reaching 30 times the typical daily volume, with over 30,000 roses delivered on the day. Plush teddy bears and cards were popular additions to baskets, proving that the finishing touches matter.

Beauty and cosmetics also saw extraordinary demand, with orders up 150% compared to last year. Fragrance led the way, from favourites like Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy and Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy to curated gift sets such as Moschino’s Mini Collection. Meanwhile, sexual-wellness deliveries reached five times last year’s volume, proving that love (and self-care) comes in many forms.

As Pete Chong, Global Head of Retail Partnerships, shared:

“By scaling our florist and retail supply, we’ve turned last-minute Valentine’s panic into stress-free gifting for our customers.”

From bouquets to beauty, this Valentine’s proved that when it comes to celebrating the moment, speed and choice make all the difference. 🌹

Groceries on Just Eat just got even more rewarding 🛒✨

We’re excited to announce the launch of our first grocery partner loyalty program in the UK, with Co-op as our flagship launch partner.

Customers can now link their Co-op Membership card directly to their Just Eat account to unlock exclusive member-only pricing.

This is a true win-win-win:

📈 It helps our partners, like Co-op, drive sales and increase order frequency
🚀 It's a key part of our strategy to accelerate our grocery offering, with this integration alone forecast to add a significant increase in orders per month

Our Global Trends campaign has wrapped across nine markets, spotlighting how food, culture and delivery continue to shape everyday moments around the world.

This year, we focused on what’s really driving behaviour, shifting tastes, cultural influences, and the small moments where delivery plays a role. Blending consumer research, expert insight and real platform data, the campaign explored how people are discovering, ordering and connecting through food, grocery and everyday essentials.

The insights brought some standout moments. In Toronto, one customer spent over $1,000 on flowers in a single order, let’s hope they said yes! And in the UK, the “TikTok effect” was real, with Dubai chocolate-inspired product orders rising by 2,684% as trends translated directly into baskets.

The result? A clearer picture of how tastes are shifting, how culture influences choice, and how delivery fits into those moments, helping customers discover something new and giving partners a platform to shine.

Love is in the air… and on the pavement.💘🤖

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’ve launched a new ground robotics trial in Bristol and Milton Keynes, with robot-powered deliveries rolling from local high street restaurants straight to customers’ doors. In Bristol, deliveries are powered by Delivers.AI, while in Milton Keynes, RIVR robots are taking the lead, all kitted out in iconic Just Eat orange.

The robots have arrived just in time to support local restaurants during an uplift in demand, with Valentine’s Day historically being a popular time for customers to favour local high street outlets. Following successful robotics trials in Switzerland, and alongside ongoing drone trials in Ireland, this is another step in exploring how autonomous delivery can support restaurants during peak moments and enhance the customer experience.

As Mert Öztekin, Chief Technology Officer at Just Eat, said:
