I recently shifted my focus from workplace well-being to sustainable performance at work.
The reason behind it is simple: I listen to what my clients are telling me.
It seems that feeling well is not enough these days. We all already know that going to yoga, being in nature, slowing down and taking care of your health is important. But most of my clients are also ambitious people, who apart from feeling well want to advance in their careers, get those promotions and an occasional walk-in closet.
Well-being needs it seems do not cover it all.
Thriving requires accepting the need to be vulnerable and the need to have agency, strength and endurance in achieving your goals.
Sustainable Performance is a binding concept that came recently to me. I design techniques and interventions that help find balance between our need to move faster and achieve more, and the need to rest, regenerate and tap into a more efficient, more internally aligned energy for work.
