Monica Molè - Massage and Craniosacral Therapy

Monica Molè - Massage and Craniosacral Therapy Holistic Healing Since 2001, healing has been my biggest passion and my life mission. Our bodies are intelligent and have their own wisdom. Love and light.

Nothing makes me as happy as helping people regaining their own balance, inner peace, joy of living and feeling home again within themselves. We live through challenging times, often overwhelmed with responsibilities and always in a hurry or sitting at a desk for too long throughout our days. This affects our nervous system, increasing stress levels, muscles tension, rigidity in the body. We become detached from our own bodies and unable to reconnect to our authentic feelings and inner stillness. In these conditions, life can be felt as a burden, rather than a joyful adventure and a journey towards self-realisation. Luckily, we are offered an enormous choice of practices that can help us find back a sense of reconnection to ourselves, energy, well-being and ultimately our capacity to breathe freely. Throughout my learning path, I have dedicated myself to several fields of healing: massage, biodynamic craniosacral, somatic yoga, Body-mind Centering and Continuum Movement. What I offer is a varied choice of massages - relaxation, deep tissue, hot stones, pregnancy (practiced on a luxuriously comfortable pregnancy massage table)- and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Craniosacral is a wonderful holistic and energetic therapy, which uses a very gentle and non-invasive touch - therefore suitable for every age and condition- while getting powerful healing results through enhancing and supporting the body's own mechanisms of self-healing. This is often obscured by past traumas, continued stress or psycho-physical defensive patterns. Craniosacral helps the body-mind settle at a deeper level of relaxation and connection, allowing the body to access its own healing resources. By focusing on the movement of the life force through the body, a craniosacral therapist supports the life force to unfold, unwinding tissues restrictions, alleviating physical symptoms for a wide range of conditions, and addressing at the same time the emotional component which is always coupled with every physical issue. Craniosacral works very well with conditions that find little to no help through classic medical practices and medications: anxiety, depression, insomnia, fibromyalgia, migraine, restlessness, etc., but it also proofs helpful in ALL kind of conditions: joint problems, nerves inflammations, disc hernia, sciatica, digestive problems, headaches, auto-immune diseases, etc. Please feel free to contact me via email if you wish to know more about it.

"Unprocessed stress becomes traumatic memory that lies dormant in the body. A present day trigger can cause the stored memory to resurface. Understanding what is happening inside our body and brain, gives us compassion. Learning why our body responds the way it does, leads to awareness and empowerment. It moves us out of being isolated, fearful, victims. By caring for our bodies and understanding their self-protective responses, we can release shame."

How to release traumatic memory that could be stored in your body.

Easier said than done, right?
Life is stressful and it is not easy for everybody to be able to let go of thinking, planning and worrying.
The good news is you don't have to do it all by yourself. You can ask for help. Massage and Craniosacral can help you access a place of stillness and relaxation, where the mind can finally silence and come to rest.

Easier said than done but something good to practice.

"Just as spring returns after winter, our lives will find their time to blossom. As we negotiate the unknown, we can perhaps be comforted with this knowing that the river will flow again, despite appearances." Cherionna Menzam-Sills

In our culture, we tend to look at addiction, anxiety, depression, stress-reated diseases, and behavioural disorders as an individual issue. But we are relational beings, and our physiology and psychology are deeply affected by the environment we interact with. If we understand the role that stress hormones play in the onset of disease, then we can understand the impact of social stressors on our physical, psychological and emotional well-being.
"In essence, healing is a highly subversive act in our culture. Whether in a medical or more direct psychotherapeutic sense, our work with people is about subverting their self-image as isolated, simply biological or simply psychological creatures, and helping them see the connections among their existence, the nature of the culture we live in, and the functioning of all of humanity. It’s about challenging the idea that someone’s value is dependent on how well they fit into an abnormal, unhealthy culture. Ideally, as healers in the broadest sense, that’s what we should be doing. " Gabor Maté, Physician and world-renown author.

In his opening keynote, Canadian physician Gabor Maté called on therapists to expand their frame of reference and recognize how their job is too often a kind of mopping up after the cruelties and injustices of the larger systems that shape our lives.

In Western Medicine the body is seen as a machine, you try to fix a broken part or take it out. In Chinese Medicine, the body is seen as a garden. If the leaves are wilting or turning brown, you examine the condition of the soil, see if the plant is getting enough water & sun or if the roots are being impinged upon. You don’t just paint the leaves green! ~ From the classic book on Chinese Medicine, "Between Heaven and Earth".

If we stop projecting in the future or clinging to the past, we fall into the present moment with such a fullness, that the smallest things in life become precious, alive, vibrant. Life becomes full, filled with possibilities.

Prolonged stress - through a high production of cortisol- impacts negatively the health of our immune system, exposing us more to infectious diseases. For this reason, now more than ever it is important to cultivate the health of our nervous system, reducing levels of stress through breathing techniques, mindful meditation, yoga, singing, laughing. All these activities stimulate the function of the vagus nerve, which is responsible for the relaxation response, organs functionality, and ultimately for the general health of the organism.

There is so much pain and fear right now in the world, it is true, and yet I have a reason to be thankful to these weird times.
I went out just to buy bread yesterday. As I stepped out of my door, I have halted in wonder...Never in my life I have felt the fresh air on my face so fully, never I have been impressed by the light as much... the green of grass, the swans gliding over the water surface, the tender sunlight bathing everything with grace...all felt so present, so alive, so blissful...On a normal day, I would have probably just bought some bread, mindlessly drifting in my own thoughts.
The moment everything is taken from us is a preciuos one...it is the very moment we start appreciate everything we have. That’s why sages call it “a blessing in disguise”.
