Exciting new research has identified a specific protein, P2RX7, as a major culprit in helping lung cancer tumors hide from the immune system. By disabling this "shield" on regulatory T cells, scientists were able to boost the body’s natural defenses and significantly slow tumor growth in lab models. Published in Cancer Immunology Research, the findings offer a new approach that could make lung cancer treatments much more effective. https://aacrjournals.org/cancerimmunolres/article-abstract/doi/10.1158/2326-6066.CIR-25-0567/771882/Regulatory-T-cell-sensing-of-extracellular-ATP-via?redirectedFrom=fulltext
