While you sleep, your body goes into deep detox mode. The lymphatic system, liver, and digestive organs push toxins out—many of which rise up into your mouth, tongue, throat, and nasal passages.
That’s why you often wake up with:
Bad breath
A coated tongue
Mucus in your throat
A "gross" taste in your mouth
🙏
2. Tongue scraping = removing toxic waste
The coating on your tongue is a buildup of:
Dead bacteria‼️
Toxins from the liver and gut
Mucus
Yeast (like candida)‼️
If you don’t scrape it off, you reabsorb it back into your system when you eat or drink. Especially during detox, you want to clear that gunk before you swallow anything.

3. Oil pulling = deep oral and lymph detox
Swishing oil (like coconut or sesame) for 10–20 minutes:
Binds to bacteria, viruses, and toxins in your mouth
Pulls them out of your lymph and salivary glands
Freshens breath and whitens teeth
Reduces inflammation (great for gums and immune health)
Helps with brain fog (yes, really—oral toxins affect your brain!)🙏
During a detox, this is powerful because it clears a major toxin exit channel: your mouth.
❤️
4. Clearing your throat = lymph + lung drainage
When detoxing, especially from parasites or mold, your body often pushes mucus and toxins up through the throat. Clearing it out helps:
Support your lungs and sinuses
Clear emotional "stuckness" (throat = expression center)
Keep drainage flowing and prevent congestion
💧
Morning ritual suggestion:
1. Scrape your tongue (before water or coffee!)
2. Do oil pulling (while journaling, stretching, etc.)
3. Spit it into a bin (not the sink—to avoid clogging)
4. Rinse your mouth with warm salty water
5. Gargle or clear your throat gently to release mucus
6. Then hydrate with warm Kangen 💧 water or lemon water
