Ashtanga vinyasa yoga uses element of strong breath called ujjayi breathing to move from one posture to next making sure that practitioner keeps the concentration by gazing at certain looking point or dristhi. This method of yoga practiced on regular bases purifies the body and helps develop the strength, vitality and inner body intelligence.There are two types of classes offered:
Self practise or mysore practice where practitioner is already familiar with the basic sequence of primary series and teacher adjusts student and helps when and where needed and Beginners led class where no experience is needed, students will be guided through the basis of primary series. There isn't such thing as being too stiff to practice this method of yoga, anyone can do it, young, old, sick just not lazy people as Guruji used to say
