Ashtanga vinyasa yoga uses element of strong breath called ujjayi breathing to move from one posture to next making sure that practitioner keeps the concentration by gazing at certain looking point or dristhi. This method of yoga practiced on regular bases purifies the body and helps develop the strength, vitality and inner body intelligence.There are two types of classes offered:
Self practise or mysore practice where practitioner is already familiar with the basic sequence of primary series and teacher adjusts student and helps when and where needed and Beginners led class where no experience is needed, students will be guided through the basis of primary series. There isn't such thing as being too stiff to practice this method of yoga, anyone can do it, young, old, sick just not lazy people as Guruji used to say

Dear students,
Coming sunday 24th of may will be the last self practise sunday before we go away to Croatian retreat. For the early birds or Utrecht ladies I will be around at 09.30 already. Last self practise before the retreat will be on friday 29th of may from 06.30 until 09.00 as usual.
Next practise will start again on sunday 14th of may at 10.00 sharp and it will be Led Class! So pls come on time. Meanwhile we still have plenty of time to practise this and coming week :-)

10th of may sunday is half primary series led class and we will chant the names of the postures afterwards. Pls don't stay in bed sleeping! This applies to new and advanced students. Alvays cultivate the mind of beginner willing to learn…

Hello everybody,
Just want to let you know that next sunday 03th of may self practise will be at 08.00 in the morning instead of usual 10.00 due to myself having to attend shiatsu workshop. I hope to see you then bright and early on the mat :-)

What was new in our yoga shala today except that it was a beautiful sunny day, great practise with nice crowed of shiny faces and one new person in our yoga shala…Hanna's boyfriend!!! Yippieee!!! And they will get married soon, this beautiful couple, I felt so happy today :-)

Hello everybody,
I wanted to advise you that our website has been updated for holiday season so pls visit it to see which dates we will be closed, you only have to go as far as front page and plan your practise days coming few weeks. I would not like anybody stand in front of the door because "they didn't know"

Want to thank all of you who attended todays shiatsu workshop, first one in the block, it was a great fun nice energy and hopefully we all learned something. Don't forget to make your boss happy on monday :-)
Workshop on 20th december has now been rescheduled for february and yoga class on friday 19th and sunday 21th december will be cancelled as I am going to vipassana 3 days session in this period. I am back on tuesday 23th december for both morning and evening practise. Christmas day 25th and 26th december we are closed and back on sunday 28th december for boost up of energy before New years party. If anyone is not clear with this schedule pls let me know and I will clarify it for you.

Since I had a few questions on how the shiatsu workshop will work and can people take individual sessions instead of full block of five here is little more explanation for everybody:

The workshops will be designed like this:

Basic of Do In and Kata (lets call them sun salutations and standing postures for better understanding), holding perpendicular pressure I will be teaching and re teaching in every single session, they are base and will be repeated over and over again.

The only difference will be that in each workshop we will concentrate on different thing/part of the body for instance back, feet, head etc. so if we are doing feet and week before was stomach I cannot in respect of time go back into detailed explanation of stomach, you will have to do stomach some other time but you will not miss out on the basics and feet for instance.

Practise of shiatsu techniques is same as yoga, it's practise of awareness so I will repeat this workshops again. If you missed one of them you can catch up in next bock…

I also do every year at least three big workshops to stay in touch with basics and then add on it and learn more. Like in our ashtanga practise no matter how many times we did our practice we always learn more and more every single time we practise…

We were talking about mini shiatsu practises that will both help with your practise of yoga and "keep your boss under control" as well as enable you to make and maintain the honest contact with people. Observe reality as it is, sun or rain accept and get on…
Quiet sea has never made a skill full sailor so the life brings it's own challenges. How to deal with this challenges and maintain the balance as much as possible will learn with this mini shiatsu workshops. The website has been updated so pls take a look at the Events page…

Dearest, just in case you forgot, there is practise as usual tomorrow morning at 10.00 and I hope to see as many of you there :-) If you have a sore muscles from the workshop, solution is simple and no that's not staying in bed for extra hour but taking it easy and being conscious of your breath! Breath is the only thing that matters
Remember, make the breath your best friend…there's no better friend you can ever have in your life…

Dear students,

I wanted to remind you that workshop with Radha and Pierre begins next saturday 01st november with the mysore self practice in De Loods, Princeneilland 20 G at 10.00 and I hope to see as many of you there :-)

Please note that there won't be any classes on sunday 02.11 or the morning practise for the week from 03.11 until 07.11
Evening classes on tuesday and thursday will be according to the schedule
Sunday 09.11 practice will start on sunday at 10.00 as usual!
