INAC - International Neonatology Association Conference

INAC - International Neonatology Association Conference The 11th Annual International Neonatology Association Conference takes place 19-22 November 2026 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

INAC has become a highly acclaimed annual gathering of clinicians in neonatology-perinatology, offering an international platform to share scientific work, state-of-the-art care paradigms, and recent advances. INAC is geared to address practical problems in Neonatology, with a global lens, engaging delegates from all over the world who participate in scientific deliberations about important topics

in Neonatology. INAC facilitates global networking amongst neonatologists, perinatologists, pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists who participate in preconference workshops and scientific sessions. We are excited to welcome you in Amsterdam!

How much oxygen should be used when supporting the transition to extrauterine life?

Session 1 at the 11th International Neonatology Association Conference (INAC) 2026 brings this essential delivery room question into focus, with discussion around safe oxygen use for preterm infants, the HiLo Trial, and oxygen prior to cord clamping.

Featuring:
• Safe use of oxygen at delivery for preterm infants - how can we answer this question faster? Ju-Lee Oei (AUS)
• Starting life with 30 or 60% oxygen –HiLo Trial - Georg Schmölzer (CA)
• Is 100% oxygen prior to cord clamping beneficial? - Anup Katheria (US)

For neonatal teams, oxygen strategy at birth remains one of the most important areas where evidence, physiology, and practice intersect.

Your research may be addressing the very questions neonatal teams are working to answer every day.

- How can early interventions improve outcomes?
- How should we refine respiratory support, neuroprotection, nutrition, developmental care, infection prevention, and long-term follow-up?
- Which data can help move neonatal practice forward?

INAC 2026 invites clinicians, researchers, neonatal teams, and early-career investigators to submit abstracts that contribute to evidence-based neonatal and perinatal care.

Under the theme “Effects of Early Interventions for a Lifetime,” the conference will bring together research and clinical insight focused on improving outcomes from the first moments of life and beyond.

Abstract submissions are open until 22 June 2026.

Submitting an abstract to INAC 2026 is more than a presentation.

It’s an opportunity to:
• Share your work with an international neonatal audience
• Contribute to evidence-based neonatal care
• Build your academic and clinical profile

If your research impacts newborn outcomes—it belongs here.

We are delighted to welcome Bret Manley as a member of the Scientific Committee for the 11th International Neonatology Association Conference (INAC 2026).

Brett Manley is internationally recognised for his work in neonatal respiratory care, non-invasive ventilation, and clinical trials in preterm infants. His expertise will contribute significantly to shaping a scientific programme grounded in evidence-based neonatal medicine, respiratory strategies at birth, and long-term outcomes in preterm populations.

His addition further strengthens INAC’s commitment to delivering a programme that reflects the latest advances in NICU practice, neonatal respiratory support, and clinical research.

World Health Day 2026 | Every Newborn Matters

Each year, an estimated 2.3 million newborns die globally within their first month of life, according to the World Health Organization. The majority of these deaths are preventable with timely, evidence-based interventions.

From respiratory support at birth to infection prevention, nutrition, and neuroprotection—early decisions in the NICU shape lifelong outcomes.

At INAC 2026, we bring together the global neonatal community to address exactly this: how to translate evidence into practice and improve survival and long-term health for newborns worldwide.

Neonatal care is never delivered by one person alone.

It is a team effort—neonatologists, NICU nurses, respiratory therapists, researchers, and trainees working together to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable patients.

INAC 2026 invites hospitals, NICUs, universities, and training programs to attend as teams.

When colleagues learn together, they return with shared knowledge, aligned protocols, and a stronger foundation for improving neonatal care.

Group registration opportunities are available for institutions wishing to send multiple delegates.
