As a kid I would enjoy this day a lot attending the Dhindi and walking with the group of musicians from the little temple and then to witness them singing the name of Lord Vittala and carrying the Tulsi on the head and others immersed in Bhakti and in the melody and rhythm of the songs of the saints. Then as a teenager, I would sing those compositions and would learn a lot of abhangs. I would be asked to sing during the Ashadi Ekadashi evenings. It would always be a magical moment to experience the divinity and the presence of that tangible magnetic energy within the group listing to the music and being elevated to another realm of bliss and ecstasy.
