From recipes passed down through my teachers, I make my own balms and liniments for use during treatments or sometimes to send home with my clients.

One of the most frequently needed examples is Trauma Liniment – it's fantastic for recent injuries such as broken bones, sprains, or bruises. I seem to send this one home the most often!

Here we are, closing out the year Amsterdam-style, with fireworks, debates about fireworks, oliebollen, and good friends.

I'm grateful to all my friends, teachers, family, neighbors, customers and clients, and all others who have been part of my life this past year.

2025 was a pretty momentous year for me. I challenged myself to begin several new skills (scuba diving, track riding, Thai language) while working hard to grow both of my small businesses. I exhibited at new ceramics markets and met an awesome gallerist who now hosts my sculptures. My massage business was advertised in a local gym and I have been able to provide tailored massages to more people in my new neighborhood.

There were difficulties as well, and plenty of stress. With everything that went on this year, I'm honestly hoping that 2026 is an easier year. I myself am going to work on going more gently on myself and trying to enjoy the things I do more. This might mean that my social media presence will change, since keeping up these platforms is not my favorite part of running my businesses. Stay tuned to find out how (I'm still figuring that out!)
