After many years of treating women with vaginismus — and writing The Vaginismus Book — I kept coming back to the same question. 🌿

What happens between appointments?

A woman leaves her physiotherapist or gynaecologist with a dilator set, a protocol, and every intention of practising at home. But home is where it gets hard. There's no one in the room. No one to say "keep going" on the days it feels impossible. No one to notice the small wins. The dilator goes back in the drawer, and by the next appointment she feels she's failed.

She hasn't. She's just been alone with it.
