Since when is walking exercise? 🤔

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not against walking at all! In fact, it’s fantastic for those who have a sedentary lifestyle, are unfit, overweight and need to get moving.
Walking helps clear your mind, de-stress, and connect with nature.

But when it comes to getting fit, toned, and losing weight, especially if you have a reasonable fitness level and you want to lose 5-10kg walking isn’t going to cut it.

So are you trying to walk 10,000 steps a day and not seeing results?

That’s because your heart rate needs to go up to really kickstart your metabolism.
For anyone with a decent fitness level, walking is just a walk in the park – literally.

So, what’s the solution? 💡 In addition to your Cardio/HIIT or strength training, try adding sprints, running, hiking uphill, stair workouts, running drills or even some gentle jumping into your routine.

Yes, I’m serious! No matter your age, you can absolutely do this!

Even my clients who are on a weight loss journey and aiming to lose a lot of weight are now sprinting and walking up stairs comfortably after a steady build-up of cardio and strength
training.

The key?

The right combination of training and rest days (go for a walk then!) will get you fit, toned, and help you shed those extra kilos.

We’ve all had those thoughts, right?

“It’s just a bad day, I’ll start fresh tomorrow.”

“I’m going to give in eventually, so why not now?”

“Work is insane at the moment. I’ll get back on track after the deadline.”

“I’ll feel better if I just have a little taste.”

“This is the last time, I promise.”

“Just this once won’t hurt.”

“I don’t want to explain my food choices to (mum/friends/colleagues), so I’ll just join in.”

“I can’t be bothered to (shop/cook/train) tonight, I’m exhausted. I’ve earned a break after working so hard.”

These thoughts? They’re not part of a real fitness & nutrition plan.

It’s easy to get caught up in the latest trends or quick fixes, but let’s be real: each of our bodies is unique, and what works for one person might not work for another.

✨ Time and Patience ✨
Your body needs time to reset hormonally.
It didn’t take a week to get where you are, and it won’t take a week to transform. Patience is key.

🥗 Cravings and Consistency
Cravings? They’re normal! They don’t just disappear overnight.
It’s about making small, sustainable changes.
Consistency is your best friend on this journey. Keep showing up for yourself, even on the tough days.

🌱 Celebrate Every Step
Remember to celebrate each milestone, no matter how small. Every step forward is progress, and you deserve to feel proud.

If you’re dreaming of that lean and strong body, let me tell you—starving yourself isn’t the way to get there. 🚫🍽️

In fact, skipping meals can lead to hormonal imbalances, mood swings, exhaustion, and a serious lack of energy.

It’s all about nourishing your body with the right foods, at the right times. 🥗💪

When you skip meals, your body goes into survival mode, holding onto fat and slowing down your metabolism.

Instead of losing weight, you might find yourself feeling more tired, irritable, and less motivated to work out.

Not to mention, it can mess with your hormones, leading to even more health issues down the line. 😣

Remember, balance is key. Fuel your body with wholesome, nutritious meals and you’ll feel the difference in your energy levels, mood, and overall well-being.
