Here is our 83-year old kumu JIMMY QUITAN from MAUI, teaching us a weekend full of ADVANCED LUA LOMI knowledge and techniques. We were visiting him on MAUI in december 2025 with a group of advanced MALAMALOMI students from EUROPE.

This man is amazing! He is thinking (!) of retiring, still giving 8 sessions a day, 4 days a week. Sharing his beautiful crafts and the teachings of the Hawaiians of old.

Meaning:

HAWAIIAN BODYWORK is that magical form of lomilomi massage in which music, movement and massage flow together in a loving dance of the heart, the PU'UWAI.

In this dance of ALOHA, clients can be deeply touched by their experience of ONENESS, love and expanded awareness.
